Kingfisher in Dublin

Wonderful central stay in Dublin! We had a great time staying here! Although it's located above a fish & chips restaurant, it was quiet at night — the restaurant closed early, and we weren't disturbed at all. The location is perfect — super central, everything was walkable. The hosts were very friendly, gave great instructions, and left clear descriptions. We also ate at the restaurant downstairs every day — delicious food and very kind staff. We'd definitely stay here again next time we're in Dublin!

Best fish and chips I've had in a long time

Kingfisher is one of those no-frills spots that totally hits the spot when you’re craving something simple and satisfying. The place is clean and neatly kept, with a kind of old-school charm. Nothing fancy, but it doesn’t need to be. Service is quick, prices are super affordable, and the food feels like comfort on a plate. The potato wedges and prawn cocktail are fan favorites for a reason — definitely worth trying. And if you’ve got room after your meal, grab some jelly or ice cream to finish it off. Great little spot for a low-key bite!

Only used the restaurant I wanted to write a review, but the hotel came up The crispy, freshly fried fish and chips were delicious The clam chowder was also rich and had a lot of ingredients, which was good I had a good time eating fish and chips, clam chowder, Murphy's beer, and hot tea

Excellent food, amazing seafood chowder and fish & chips is crispy fresh and tasty. Also the full day breakfast is satisfying and high quality. Central position and average price

The location of the house is very convenient, the staff is very friendly, you can store your luggage, the room is fully equipped and cleaned very well, highly recommended

Excellent restaurant : tout est fameux : les plats dont évidemment le fish and ship ( un des meilleurs que l'on ait dégusté, véritables frites), les desserts "faits maison" , bonne bière, ..... Les serveurs sont tous pros et très très sympas ! Salle agréable+ petite terrasse protégée du vent Tarifs corrects Un incontournable proche de Temple bar ( 10mn à pied)

Un peu déçu en regard des commentaires, selon les plats (repas à 4). La seafood chowder était délicieuse, relevée et bien garnie. Le fish & chips était bon, bien que les chips n’étaient pas les meilleures. Le Irish burger était vraiment moyen ( mais bon c’est un resto de poisson…). Globalement le rapport qualité prix n’est pas au RDV.
