La Peniche in Dublin

The atmosphere was amazing and the food even better. Incredible friendly and kind staff. Definitely worth to visit!

La Peniche is a really nice place with a great atmosphere and a lovely team. The setting is definitely one of the highlights, and it is the kind of place that works well for meeting friends, having something to eat or simply enjoying the atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the visit enjoyable. The food and drinks were good, although I felt the prices were a little high for the level of service and the overall experience. The main thing I would suggest improving is the space itself. It felt a little too crowded, with perhaps one or two tables too many. Removing a couple of tables would give people more space and make the experience much more comfortable. The music was also quite loud during my visit, which made it harder to have a conversation. Overall, there is a lot to like about La Peniche — nice place, good atmosphere and a great team. With slightly more space, lower music and a better balance between price and service, I think the experience could be significantly better.

" Overall, we had a really lovely experience. First of all, we both thought the food was very good. We really enjoyed the starters, especially the chicken vol-au-vent and the prawns with pickled tomatoes. For the main courses, we had the halibut and the duck leg, and we enjoyed both of them. The desserts were lovely as well. One of the highlights for us was going out onto the deck and watching the boat go through the lock. It was really interesting to see the gates close and the water level rise, and we really enjoyed the view from the deck. It made the whole experience feel a bit more special and different from a normal restaurant. We also thought everything was very well organised. From taking our orders to the timing of each course being served, everything went smoothly and we never felt rushed. Overall, the combination of the food, the service and the experience on the boat made it a really enjoyable evening. " " Great restaurant, wonderful experience. The food is ok but I believe my hopes were too high. We started sailing after almost 1 hour or being in the boat and the route that we did was super fast and short. For the price I was expecting more
