Yes it’s true. The best Guinness in Dublin and it’s €5 a pint. And the people are lovely - the bar staff and the locals. And it’s only a 5 minute walk to the Guinness Stores. And the toasties are top notch.

Recibimos una cálida bienvenida cuando paramos aquí en nuestro camino a Guinness Storehouse. Es un bar lleno de gente amable, menú básico y buena selección de bebidas. Dave, que tiene una personalidad fantástica, nos tenía en puntos mientras nos servía bebidas, deliciosa sopa de verduras casera y sándwiches tostados.
Sin duda recomendaría una parada en este bar local si estás en este barrio. Dave cuidará de ti!

A beautiful non-touristy Irish pub where you can relax. I had a couple of Guinness, beautiful atmosphere for about an hour and a half really very nice without the tourists.

We did not have food so I cannot comment. We had some time to kill before Guinness and this place was right around the corner. Total regular vibe, almost 100% of the people were locals, cheap beer, cold cider and a hooting good time talking to a few of the older guys at the bar about the good times of locking. Dave the bartender was absolutely splendid. If I ever go back to Dublin, I would not set foot in Temple Bar again and bee line directly to here and in the Liberties. So much fun. Side note, bring 5 euro bills cash, and thank me later.

€5 Guinness that tastes absolutely unreal — smooth, rich, and dangerously good. Honestly, you'd think you'd struck gold at that price. But here's the catch: while your wallet wins, your stomach loses. I spent the next two days glued to the toilet, questioning every life choice that led me to that first glorious pint. If you're into high-stakes drinking — where flavour comes with a side of gastrointestinal roulette — this is the spot for you. Would I go back? Probably. But only with a clear calendar and a well-stocked loo roll.
