11/10/2024: Knights Pub had great food and drinks. Everything was served quickly and had we really enjoyed it. Marta made sure we were well taken care of! We love Clontarf and hope to return!

23/05/2024: The Knights Bar is just one of three areas where a guest is actually in the castle at Clontarf. The place is well appointed with beautiful wooden floors, appropriately chosen furniture and a magnificent bar. Note the ceilings and paneled walls among other decorative delights if you visit. The menu is small but adequate. The space would have earned 5 stars in this review if not for the indifferent, mostly unfriendly employees. During lunch hour, my wife and I walked in and sat at the bar for a drink in plain sight of two employees, one of them clearly a bartender. There was no greeting and no eye contact. I got off the chair eventually to see if there was anyone willing to serve us on the other side of the bar when a woman employee finally asked if she could help. As my wife commented, "Management needs to do a better job in the training department. " After all, they market themselves as a high end establishment and poor service like that is inexcusable. Dinner on the other hand was a better experience with a delicious sirloin steak and a more attentive server. I would not recommend the Santa Ana Malbec on the menu as it is in my opinion a flawed wine with little structure and somewhat flattish. So many good Malbec's out there at reasonable prices and why this restaurant chooses this one is puzzling. All in all, Knights Bar is worth a visit.
