I had the smoked salmon and cheese on a "bagel" for lunch. Instead of a bagel it actually came out on two pieces of toasted bread. Ultimately it was more food than I needed but the price seemed very reasonable for the portion size. Service felt quite slow even though the restaurant was mostly empty. I was also left with some reservations about food safety; I watched the chef assemble my meal without gloves, and there were some unusual brown bits on the salmon which I cut off. Ultimately no ill came of it though, and the parts that I ate were tasty.

The pasta was simple and not quite traditional, but lovely. The Italian grandmother was pumping out the pasta dishes while the grumpy youngish Italian ‘chef’ made one pizza and warmed 3 pieces of bread for bruschetta - making sure everyone knew, slamming the pizza oven doors constantly, in between being in his phone, eating pizza cheese and barking instructions to the young waiters!
He actually made two pizzas, but ate the second one himself, so I don’t count that one!
The large groups seemed to be having fun!
If you want simple pasta - don’t be put off.

Nice restaurant, casual atmosphere. Not very many vegetarian options. The fried zucchini could have used a slightly spicier and thinner batter. The smoked mozzarella good, tasty fig sauce. The gnocchi with gorgonzola was delicious. Tip: serve this in a (preheated) bowl so it stays warm longer.
Oh yes, you can go here for a nice wine.

True Italian food with a high standard of service. A number of sharing platters, one of which is an exceptional cheese board. Supurb Italian wine selection. Good option pre Gáis theatre.

We only had appetizers and wine but the food was fresh and the wine delicious. If you're looking for Italian in Dublin, this is a good place to try. Off the tourist zone with locals eating around you.

We booked a table here as pre theatre treat, and were very pleasantly surprized at how genuinely good this restuarant is. The food was excellent, as was the wine, and advice from the waiters. We had a sharing platter to start, which came with an excellent mozzerella, as well as plenty of meats and cheeses and bruchetta, and for mains, we all had different pasta dishes, and none dissappointed. The major hit was the seafood linguine. Well done, we look forward to coming back

We were staying at The Alex Hotel in the same street, so went in for a takeaway pizza and salad on a cold rainy night in September. While waiting we chatted to the friendly chef behind the bar and the pizza maker and noticed that the restaurant was busy with happy diners. After having that great pizza we booked a table for the next night. Both our pasta dishes were delicious and the selection of Italian wines is excellent. Service is a bit slow or haphazard but we were in no hurry so not a problem. We would go back again in a heartbeat for a casual, easy, quick dinner.

I have ate here a lot and always found the food to be excellent, with an authentic Italian vibe, offering good value and considered it to be a hidden gem in Dublin
I had a booking tonight with some American friends and I regret to say the service was very very poor
Thankfully the food was still excellent as I was very concerned at one stage
