I loved it and I don't even like fish generally. Only decided to have fish n chips since I was visiting Ireland and just so it happened to be the best from what I read now. If that shop was in Britain they'd need a license to be that good lmao. Definite recommendation if you're nearby.

I had my first fish and chips here on the tour guide's recommendation. I think I had smoked cod, and they asked me if I wanted vinegar on it. I was a bit hesistant, but boy, it was sooooo good. It was nothing like fried fish in the states. The portion was quite generous as well.

Been coming here for almost 35yrs. Still the best fish&chips in Dublin and beyond. (Don't forget to ask for the crips 😁)

A very generous portion of fish and chips

Great staff with personality and very generous portions with quality fish! It's take away only so here are a few suggestions if you like crispy fish and chips ... 1. Vinegar adds flavor but adds moisture. 2. It's wrapped well in paper to keep it warm but it also keeps the moisture in so try to not to wait too long to eat it. Really enjoyed the food but not crispy except for the end pieces because I wanted Vinegar and we walked slowly to St Patrick's to eat in the park. I'm guessing it would have been a 5/5 on food if I had the food closer and added the vinegar myself just before eating it but that's just a guess so rated 4/5.

Una mujer local muy recomendable Bardock’s. Ella amablemente me proporcionó las instrucciones que me llevaron a los deliciosos fish & chips que había estado anhelando. Una porción de pescado ligeramente rebozado, crujiente y un montón de patatas fritas. Prefiero que estén un poco más crujientes, pero aún así eran frescos y deliciosos. Excelente comida disfrutada mientras se sienta en mesas de picnic al otro lado de la calle.

Era Viernes Santo cuando visitamos y pedimos un bacalao regular con clips y el otro bacalao ahumado con patatas fritas. Las salsas se vertieron sobre el pescado y las patatas fritas y luego se sellaron con múltiples capas de papel antes de ponerlo en otra bolsa de papel. Estilo bastante clásico de servir pescado con papas fritas menos el problema clásico de la tinta del periódico entrando en la comida. Y sí, el bacalao de humo vale la pena, ¡saca el sabor del pescado!
