Popped in for a lunch on way back from Belfast.
Sleepy town so thought it be soup and sambo territory. Menu was excellent and had a fish burger.
Really good Will definitely be back
Menu is excellent and if rest of the food matches what I got then this place is a serious cut above standard fare.
We tried a restaurant. The service was really friendly and location is beautiful, but I didn't enjoy fish and chips. It was too oily. Anyway seafood chowder was great and terrace is amazing.
A somewhat random lunch stop for pub food that turned out to be quite a bit better than you might expect for a small village on Louth. The razor claims were a special that did not disappoint
01/06/2025: I can’t recommend this place enough! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are truly exceptional friendly and dedicated to making your experience memorable. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Fish Burger. After over 12 years in Ireland, I can confidently say it was the best I’ve ever had perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor, and simply unforgettable. I’ll definitely be returning!
19/02/2025: I come here 2-4 times per year. Great scampi and prawns. Fish batter undercooked which is not normal as the food is generally great. BE VERY CAREFUL if you are using a credit or debit card not from Ireland. In every restaurant I have ever been in I get charged in my currency or asked if I want the conversion rate. I was NOT asked here. Entered my pin and then the person sorting the bill used the conversion rate in the quickest way possible before I could say anything. Outcome I get a conversion rate at 8.9% versus the 17% my bank gives me. This is obviously policy and not the fault of the staff member who was very nice. I will not be back as it has completely spoilt a family meal.
