Was an amazing experience, as I made the reservation on the main saloon and was close due to the weather conditions, I talked with the owner and let us go in to see the saloon and he was even explaining us the story about the place and the vikings. Without any doubt I will keep repeating.
Great views of the mountains across the bay. Good quality food, the chips are super crispy. Perfect for an early Sunday dinner, caters for groups and has live music
A beautiful little place to stop for lunch. Seems to be essential to book, especially at weekends. We didn't stay overnight unfortunately so can't comment on rooms etc.
Absolutely great night at The Glyde Inn for the Fawlty Towers Dining experience. We all really enjoyed it, from start to finish, with laughter throughout. Great experience, I would highly recommend
Delicious food. Specialise in fish dishes. Lovely, loyal staff. Family-run business. Great view of the sea from the back. Love the music sessions with Gerry Mulroy at 5pm when the American Tourists arrive. One of the best restaurants in Louth.
15/12/2024: Amazing restaurant with excellent seafood! Staff were attentive, friendly and the overall atmosphere was cosy and warm. We were first time visitors and will definitely be back! If you like seafood then this place is a must!
09/08/2024: First the plusses...great location, good menu, friendly staff, lovely olde world pub. Negatives..slow service, portions could be bigger, should be something like mushy peas included with fish and chips. My biggest problem however was when I went to pay for a round of drinks from the bar and it was only later I noticed there was a charge of 23% vat added to the bill !!! This meant a glass of wine which was €9 now came to €11.07 and the pints that were approx €6 50 were now costing €7.99 ! Do they really want their restaurant customers queueing at the bar for their drinks ?? This would definitely put me off returning to the Glyde Inn. Get it sorted !!
