Typical Irish pub, very well located with a view of the sea..I go there regularly...The prices are however quite high for the restaurant part..

I was here for a small wedding. The staff could maybe fine-tune the flow of events like this. But the venue is lovely and the staff are very friendly. The food was good at best. The only big disadvantage was the constant blocking of doorways by the "locals" having pints in the bar. Their attitude of rolling eyes when asking them to please move out of the way was off putting and unwelcoming

Very friendly pub, all in wood, old-fashioned, just the way we like it. I had an excellent evening there. I recommend and I will come back.

I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional food and bartender service I experienced during my recent visit to Glyde inn The quality of the food exceeded my expectations, and each dish was prepared with great attention to detail. The flavors were exquisite, and it's evident that the culinary team takes pride in their craft. Additionally, I was thoroughly impressed by the professionalism and skill of the bartender Ziad. Their knowledge of mixology and ability to craft unique and delicious cocktails made my dining experience truly memorable. Their friendly demeanor and attentiveness added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. Well....it was ok. I ordered crab claws then fish and chips. I got 4 large crab claws which was a bit of fun cracking them enough to extract the tasty morsels of crab meat. Very messy but fun. My wife had razor clams (4) which were a once in a life time experience. She's had them once and never again. Tough, chewy little muscles, which if you took away the garlicky butter, would be practically tasteless. The simple ploy of offering a couple of slices of crunchy French bread with butter accompanying the starters would have been nice. Then came my fish and chips. a medium size piece of cod with thin crispy batter around it but I had an issue with the chips. I actually had 4 decent sized chips, the rest were the little thin ends and sides and what you'd call scraps. There were no mushy peas or garnish. So, for €20 the chef could have done better. My wife had scampi and chips, she fared better than me with the chips and had a decent portion of scampi but again no salad, no garnish at all so for €26 we thought that was absolutely average. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant as we had a window seat and had plenty of time to watch the tide coming in as it was almost 20 minutes between the starters being cleared and the mains arriving. I had two bottles of a local IPA the first of which foamed up out of the bottle and took nearly 10 minutes to settle the 2nd bottle was much better. A little pricey at €7.50 a bottle when it'll be available for around €3.50 in the shops. that's over 100% markup! If the restaurant paid as much attention to detail to the food as they did with their markup, that meal could have been pretty good. Overall for €94 it was a disappointing afternoon treat.

Went for dinner and the food was very good. If you like shellfish you'll be happy with coming here.
