Great food and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

5 star experience for dinner. Firstly, we arrived an hour after Early Bird menu times but were still offered it. That was an unexpected cost saver. The food is on the pricier side, but I'd say you get what you pay for. Service was phenomenal. The chips were more like wedges/crispy baked potato, but still very tasty. My burger was a little pink, which I didn't mind, but just in case you don't want that, be sure to let your server know. Lovely little restaurant that doesn't have cramped seating

Rarely have we had such an outstanding dinner as we enjoyed tonight! We have not visited Lobstar for many years but discovered what we were missing! Veronica and her staff were superb at every course- we readily give this restaurant in Monkstown 10 out of 10 for starter, main course and wines. I am a coeliac and they recommended a tasty gluten free dinner. We will be back soon. P J Rudden

Lobstar is an absolute gem on Monkstown’s main drag! From the moment we walked in, we smelled we were in for a treat. The highlight of our meal was the lobster curry for two - a perfect blend of spices that complemented the fresh, tender lobster beautifully. Every savoured bite was a burst of flavor. We loved the fresh crispy salad, a delight enhanced by the best secret dressing we’ve ever tasted - tangy, generous, and utterly addictive, perfectly balancing the richness of our mains. And the desserts? Simply divine! The tarte tatin was a French masterpiece - sweet, tender flavourful apples with a perfectly crisp pastry. And the chocolate pudding? Absolutely to die for! Rich, velvety, and utterly indulgent… Compliments to the chef for his meticulous and non-pretentious approach to perfection. Lobstar has truly mastered the art of balancing exquisite flavors with top-notch service. We can’t wait to return! Many thanks to you all.

The food was quite nice but not outstanding and a bit on the pricey side. staff were friendly but one member when asked about a dish couldn't explain it. The cocktails were expensive and really mocktails They do not have a full licence. It has a friendly atmosphere all be it rather cramped.

Best experience - just perfect This was the BEST meal I have had in Ireland in many years , wonderful flavour of prawn starter complemented by a superbly cooked halibut in a zesty sauce , the desert was a magnificent pastry tart with apples and cream , brilliant service made this a night to remember , a true gem !

We had an anniversary dinner at this delightful small restaurant. Food was beautifully presented and wonderfully tasty. Really special.
