This was a perfect stop for us after a long day out. Food was sensational and the staff were even more pleasant. Veronika did her best to get us the perfect table even though we had no reservation and they were extremely busy, the service was excellent throughout. Could not have asked for a better spot. Will definitely be going back!

If you like lobster roll this place is fantastic. Veronica always greets us with a welcoming smile. I’d like to be able to describe all of the dishes but I have not tried them all as the lobster roll with parmesan truffle fries is absolutely fabulous and irresistible . For starters have also tried the burrata which I love . Usually no room left for desert but I have tasted the chocolate mousse and the apple tarte tatin which are both really good. Great wines on the wine list - I particularly like the Jordan barrell fermented chardonnay which I give a 4.2 - surprising because I usually go for sauvignon and don’t usually choose South African but it is fabulous.

Excellent informal cosy restaurant with lovely food, staff, Nd premises. Only drawback was the limited menu... but we can't complain as we knew that before booking

Probably the best burger I have had in Ireland - wagyu beef cooked to perfection with a unique sauce, including delicious crispy fries - all for the great value price of €13.95

5 star experience for dinner. Firstly, we arrived an hour after Early Bird menu times but were still offered it. That was an unexpected cost saver. The food is on the pricier side, but I'd say you get what you pay for. Service was phenomenal. The chips were more like wedges/crispy baked potato, but still very tasty. My burger was a little pink, which I didn't mind, but just in case you don't want that, be sure to let your server know. Lovely little restaurant that doesn't have cramped seating Edit: second visit just over a month later and the same standard of good service and food was upheld! This place deserves it's high rating. This time my wife went for lobster which was delicious and I went for a burger again and it was even better than the first time. Staff are so friendly and helpful with the menu. Will be back in the future

Rarely have we had such an outstanding dinner as we enjoyed tonight! We have not visited Lobstar for many years but discovered what we were missing! Veronica and her staff were superb at every course- we readily give this restaurant in Monkstown 10 out of 10 for starter, main course and wines. I am a coeliac and they recommended a tasty gluten free dinner. We will be back soon. P J Rudden
