Every time we pop in the vibe is immaculate. Wine and cheese selection is top notch. We're always tested with new wines we'd never usually try and we always leave happy. Staff are very helpful also.

Cool spot in a central location, it's a nice place to swing by when you want a light lunch - the toasties are great but the service is sometimes a bit lacking.

The cheese toast was okay. I love the design of wine glasses it’s worth taking a picture with it. But the service wasn’t good enough. When we entered the store there were 2 staff doing nothing and they completely ignored us even not saying hello or hi. I’ve been to this store 2 times and it happened every single time. I love the atmosphere of this store but I’m not gonna visit again.

It was THE BEST CHEESE I had ever eaten! We ordered a small sliver of some kind of goat cheese and it was beyond delicious. The next time we're there, we will be pairing it with wine.

Could be better and some improvement needed. Glasses are not good value: 9-13 for a very small glass of red wine . The cheese board was decent though . The staff need to be more attentive and proactive with helping paying customers get seats . We ended up eating standing at the window sill inside while some random girl took up a table outside “waiting for a friend” not buying anything . Staff should be moving her on to vacate the tables for paying customers.

A really fun concept that is executed well. Great food and nice wine! The place is very small, so not good for groups of 4 or more. There is outside seating though. Toasties are great, the one with chorizo is spicy so be careful!

Nos gustó mucho el concepto, así que le di una oportunidad, pero desafortunadamente nos fuimos un poco decepcionados. Las tostadas eran muy agradables y a un precio bastante razonable. Pedí que se añadiera algo a la mía y, lamentablemente, me dijeron que estaban hechas de antemano, por lo que no se pueden modificar. El personal no era demasiado amable. Aquellos que tenían vino realmente no lo disfrutaban.

03/02/2025: Came here on a busy Bank Holiday Monday lunchtime.We had the pancakes , french toast.and.a chicken caeser wrap with truffle.fries.Everything was divine ! Very quick service food came.out in.no time beautifully.presented.and.very.tasty! Service was.excellent too.Well done Hudson Roons Lucan we will be backs soon.
28/01/2025: First time visiting The Hudson Rooms, very nice experience. The cafe itself is nicely laid out and nicely lit, and is comfortable to sit in. Staff were all very friendly and attentive, nice to see a locally owned and run business producing such good food. The Eggs Benedict was really nicely prepared, one of the better ones I’ve had. Overall, really good experience and would highly recommend for breakfast. The lunch menu looks very tasty too!

09/02/2025: The absolute best food I've had since going vegan in 2023! It looked colourful, smelt divine, and tasted fabulous! It was quite busy throughout the time that we were there but the staff never looked harassed and happily answered my questions. They have a cookbook that I will be ordering on payday. It has a lovely open, contemporary feel to the place and despite how big it is, due to its layout, it doesn't have that 'canteen' feel that some large restaurants can have. The menus are regularly changed too. I most definitely recommend Brother Hubbard if you're ever in Dublin and want some really great food, vegan or otherwise..
