I booked Tenters for my boyfriend's birthday dinner. It was a new venue to us and looked appealing, especially as it has gluten free options, which I require as a coeliac. The food was good and the service very attentive. We each had the fish and chips, then I had the Eton mess and my boyfriend had the brownie. The fish and chips were tasty, but no peas? And I backed the wrong horse picking the Eton mess, which was nice but didn't hold a candle to the brownie. Overall, an enjoyable dinner and I'd recommend it, if a bit overpriced (especially desserts).

Exactly what we needed! Quiet (at least while we were here) and the bartender was very attentive. My husband had the Reuben Sandwich while I had the fish chowder. The best fish chowder I’ve had in a long time. I highly recommend it here 😉.

Gastropub located inside the Aloft by Marriott Dublin City hotel. Pleasant atmosphere. Dishes range from traditional Irish fare to Italian and Asian-influenced reinterpretations; reasonable portions. Service is prompt but a bit distracted.

The food was good, the place was stylish, but the real highlight was the outstanding service! As a bonus, the waiter spoke excellent French.

We were looking for a good place to eat near Teeling Distillery before our tour started. Tenters Gastropub was found by chance through Google Maps suggestions. And we must admit that we did not regret taking the suggestion. From the outside, the place looks like a small and pretty corner pub, but inside you will find renovated and comfortable restaurant spaces. The service was friendly and fast. The meals were the tastiest. A very good find. We recommend it.

5/5 Stars | A Standout Dublin Experience! My son and I visited The Tenters Gastropub during our first trip to Dublin, and it was an absolute highlight. The atmosphere here is fantastic. It strikes a perfect balance, giving you that classic, welcoming Irish pub warmth but with a sleek, slightly upscale modern finish that sets it apart from other traditional spots in the area. It feels premium but completely comfortable and unpretentious. The food was top-tier. We ordered the fish and chips, and they were outstanding: perfectly crispy batter, fresh fish, and excellent chips. Whether you are a local or a tourist exploring Dublin for the first time like us, this place is a must-visit. Great vibes, brilliant food, and stellar service. We will definitely be back on our next trip!

I really liked the pub. The atmosphere is cozy and lively, without unnecessary noise or pretentiousness. There's a good selection of beer and snacks, and everything was served quickly. The staff is friendly, and communication is easy and respectful. A great place for a quiet evening with friends or just to unwind after work.

McCloskeys

23/08/2026: Lovely pub. Food excellent 👌. We will be bk soon
09/08/2026: Sounds pretentious to say "elevated pub food" but try their fish and chips and see if you don't agree. In addition to the regular list of beers and whiskeys they've got a good selection of wines as well. Carlos and company are fantastic hosts and the outdoor seating in back is a bonus. A great addition to the neighborhood.
