Did take a while to be seated - guess only one person on duty - until Roderick came on and he seated us right away. His recommendations were spot on, whether the Burrata Salad or the Seafood Chowder; both of which hit the spot. Whether Guinness or Guinness 0.0, both of tap and ideal to commence or conclude one’s meal. Recommend a visit especially if staying at the Marriott Aloft.

Went to Tenters for a quiet dinner by myself while visiting Dublin for work. And it didn't disappoint. The servers were helpful and courteous, the lighting ambient and mellow, the noise level just right, and the food- delicious. And the Guinness! A perfect pour (I HAD to take a large sip before snapping a photo). The Guinness in Ireland always tastes so much different than anywhere else in the world.

I had Irish Seafood Chowder while I was in Belfast. Right when I got to the Dublin, I had an intense craving for it! I think I like this version of chowder better than the good ole USA New England chowder. I was staying in the hotel this restaurant is located in. Great and convenient choice for me. The vibe/ambiance is quite swanky, while the dishes were reasonably priced. To end my night, I ordered a few light apps instead of a full entree - seafood chowder and burrata salad. Unfortunately, the food took quite a while to come out. My two dishes are considered "starters", so that made the wait even more antagonizing. Sadly, the chowder was not as good as the one I had in Belfast, but it was still tasty. Definitely not very thick, especially for a chowder. The burrata salad was yummy, especially the sun dried tomatoes. Nice light meal.

Very good fish and chips here. I was happy with this selection as it was some of the best dm fish I have had to this point. It was cooked perfectly and was gluten free. I would recommend this dish to anyone looking for something good to eat. I also enjoyed a cider and I had a local beer called 5 lamps. Both were good.

We found this place at the last minute for dinner last night. It was the shortest walk from our hotel - Hyatt Centric. It worked out wonderfully for our entire group. We ordered fish and chips because it was gluten free. It was delicious!!!! The batter on the fish, texture was crispy and fresh. Love their 🍟 fries!!! It was definitely tasty and I liked the way it was cut, almost like steak fries cut but a groove in the middle to balance out the weight. The tartar sauce served with fish and chips was the right balance of spices. Our servers were extremely friendly and efficient with what their services. Tip: they do serve tap water, just gotta know to ask for it.

We ordered a mix of dishes, and every plate felt thoughtfully prepared and comforting. The pan-fried fish was beautifully cooked β€” crisp skin, tender flesh, and bright flavours from the vegetables and herbs. Simple, fresh, and very well balanced. The burger with chunky chips was proper gastropub comfort food: juicy, rich, and satisfying, with golden wedges that were crisp outside and fluffy inside. The chicken main stood out for its tenderness β€” juicy meat, seasonal vegetables, and a clean, home-style feel that worked perfectly with the cozy atmosphere. A classic fish & chips delivered exactly what you want: light batter, flaky fish, proper chips, and a creamy sauce on the side. The seafood chowder was warming and generous, full of flavour and perfect for a relaxed evening. The arancini were crisp and indulgent, ideal for sharing, while the salad with cured ham, seeds, and cheese added a fresh, well-balanced note to the table. We also shared sticky chicken wings β€” rich, glossy, and finger-licking good. Overall, the food matched the atmosphere: comforting, unpretentious, and perfect for a long, cozy dinner with friends. πŸ·πŸ’¬

Wishing Well

18/02/2026: Good food and very friendly staff. Kathy
24/01/2026: Nice food, little veg (even though explicitly stated on the menu). The chips could have been fried slightly longer. Portion size is decent, but men will probably need to order a side with it. Atmosphere is good, sports were visible from all booths. Service was friendly. Good traditional pub.
