Loose Canon in Dublin

Interesting place with a good selection of wines, many of them natural. Cheeses and a few other things to accompany.

Nacco wanted to eat a lot of cheese while he made the mandala looking for the chakras, Diolaiuti disagreed with an attack of dysentery.

It was at Loose Canon that we had, so far, the best grilled cheese experience. We sit in front of the window, at the entrance to the George’s Street Arcade covered market, with a glass of wine and a delicious grilled cheese. An intimate atmosphere, a bright setting and pleasant service. It is in this atmosphere conducive to having a good time that we settle down. We sip a glass of fruity Malbec and a blend of white and red grape varieties (memory fails us this time) while contemplating the small but extensive display of cheeses. The cheeses are made from raw milk and Irish and are used to make the famous grilled cheeses. We let ourselves be tempted by the simplest. The bread is perfectly toasted and the trio of cheeses complement each other just right. The selection of natural wines is exquisite and the references offered are mouth-watering.

I went to Loose Canon 3 times during my holiday in Dublin and the wine and toasties are delicious !!! Today was my third visit (around 1:30 pm) and I just want to let you know today’s staff is the kindest and friendliest.

Cool little spot for lunch, didn't get the name of the lady (blonde) but she was super helpful with wines. If you love a toastie then this is the place

Loved having a glass here. Small shop with only a few indoor seats available but if it’s not raining, everyone spilled out onto the street to stand, chat and enjoy their wine. Didn’t get any cheese but wish we did as it smelled great

Love this place and their concept so much. The cheese toasties are to die for and the atmosphere is pretty good.

Small spot. Be prepared to stand or wait for a small table. Toasties are worth it. Delish.
