Lord Bagenal Inn in Leighlinbridge

Amazing food, clean environment, Tomas Jackman created a really enjoyable atmosphere. We spent over €100 on a meal for 2 but enjoyed every bit of it.

Have to say I really enjoyed my night away here. Hotel was lovely , although does need a lil tlc in bathroom. Bed was so comfortable. Receptionist who greeted us was lovely and so were the bar staff. Mick was just gas. Dinner menu very small and not much to choose from. Breakfast was delicious doh.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel. May have been once upon a time. Very large room but overfilled with huge furniture. Don't forget your toiletries as the reception doesn't hold spares. Very very limited menu if you don't eat fish. Restaurant only open at weekends. Whole hotel stank of cooking fish when we arrived. Breakfast was excellent though. Friendly helpful staff.

Great staff... so nice and easy going. Stayed here 4 days. It's my 3rd time here and I'll be back.

We had our wedding at The Lord Bagenal on 3rd May and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish! The service was simply unbelievable — every detail was looked after with such care, making us and our guests feel truly special throughout the whole day. The food was outstanding, with so many of our guests telling us it was the best wedding meal they’ve ever had! A huge thank you to James, Nial, Sue, and the entire team — you were all amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, and you made everything run so smoothly, allowing us to relax and just enjoy every moment. From the warm welcome to the flawless organisation and genuine hospitality, you really went above and beyond to make our day unforgettable. We couldn’t have wished for a better venue or a better team. If you’re thinking about having your wedding here — do it, you will not be disappointed!

Massive thanks to Sue, Niall, Connie and all the staff at the Lord Bagenal where we had our wedding reception on 4th April 2025. We cannot fault any part of our wedding day. From the 2 years of planning with Sue to the execution by Niall, Connie and team on the day, everything was perfect! Every guest has complimented the hotel, the beautiful flowers, the staff and most importantly the FOOD which was 10/10. The best day at the best venue. If only we could press replay and do it all over again. Jealous of any upcoming couples who will be having their big day at the Lord Bagenal!

Visited this hotel for dinner and loved it being back a few times now. They have a good menu reasonable prices as well, lovely staff v friendly
