Lord Bagenal Inn in Leighlinbridge

We had our wedding at The Lord Bagenal on 3rd May and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish! The service was simply unbelievable — every detail was looked after with such care, making us and our guests feel truly special throughout the whole day. The food was outstanding, with so many of our guests telling us it was the best wedding meal they’ve ever had! A huge thank you to James, Nial, Sue, and the entire team — you were all amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, and you made everything run so smoothly, allowing us to relax and just enjoy every moment. From the warm welcome to the flawless organisation and genuine hospitality, you really went above and beyond to make our day unforgettable. We couldn’t have wished for a better venue or a better team. If you’re thinking about having your wedding here — do it, you will not be disappointed!

Massive thanks to Sue, Niall, Connie and all the staff at the Lord Bagenal where we had our wedding reception on 4th April 2025. We cannot fault any part of our wedding day. From the 2 years of planning with Sue to the execution by Niall, Connie and team on the day, everything was perfect! Every guest has complimented the hotel, the beautiful flowers, the staff and most importantly the FOOD which was 10/10. The best day at the best venue. If only we could press replay and do it all over again. Jealous of any upcoming couples who will be having their big day at the Lord Bagenal!

Visited this hotel for dinner and loved it being back a few times now. They have a good menu reasonable prices as well, lovely staff v friendly

Fantastic friendly service and excellent food. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast is lovely and dinner menu too.

Extremely unhappy with the stay at this accommodation. Upon arrival to the room, I was greeted by silverfish in the bathroom likely due to floors which were unclean. The heat is not adjustable in the room and we had to keep a door open over night. The primary issue is that the hotel has virtually no staff. There are no concierges, no front desk staff after 9am, and the restaurant was staffed by a few older ladies who may have been family members filling in. The inn appears to be experiencing financial difficulty. I would highly advise choosing other accommodations within the area.

Had two cappuccinos with desserts, tasty and €25 for two

We stayed here for 2 nights and all I can say is WOW reception let us check in early as we had a wedding to attend to which was great . what an amazing friendly beautiful hotel could not fault this place so vibrant when you walk in!….rooms are very spacious and clean food is unbelievable and one of the best breakfast I think we’ve had in Ireland !…..the bar is very cosy with open fires . The location and view of the river running along side ….this is a true gem to stay !….look forward to coming back in may 😊

Good food clean rooms. But get an energy survey done on the hotel as soon as you can the energy wasted in heating is substantial could be reduced substantially.
