03/09/2024: This hotel is a must-see venue. Lovely location in County Carlow fabulous village. Great pubs, steeped in local history. This is easily the best 3 star hotel I've visited in Ireland in a long time. Breakfast was cooked to order. Can't wait to visit again
02/09/2024: I have stayed at the Lord Bagenal on numerous occasions, most recently on 28.08.2024. It is a hotel that maintains consistent standards of excellence in accommodation, food and service. Conveniently located between Carlow and Kilkenny, the Lord Bagenal is a hidden gem, overlooking the river Barrow which offers beautiful walks along its banks. The breakfast in the Lord Bagenal offers a selection to suit every taste, I highly recommend the full Irish. There is also an extensive evening fusion menu for dinner.

27/04/2024: The flavor for a chipper is Delicious. Their kebab is really good and their chips are great, and you will get A LOT of chips in your purchase so there is no way you will be hungry after.
The service was great quick and kind.
The only flaw of the place is the atmosphere. It is a very small area with a quick order counter for getting in and out. Reminds you of a small NYC deli.
26/04/2024: Excellent quality chipper, the guy who serves is always cracking jokes. 10/10, a leighlinbridge institution.
