Lord Bagenal is faultless
Swift check in, lovely room with fabulous furniture, hospitality tray. Dined for evening dinner -- steak must be up there with the vest I've eaten, my wife loved her fish. Breakfast was tops, we've been previously and most definitely we will be back again. Perfection.

We booked the place for a family dinner. The choice of starters, main courses and deserts was great (5 of each).
Food was delicious and decent portions. Some of us couldn't fit dessert, because we were full. There was no problem to get one to bring home.
Friendly service.
The dinning part was a bit too warm (stove was lighting) , but apart from that everything was perfect.

Would have been five stars all the way except for our check in experience. Completely ignored by receptionist while she attended to menial tasks and did not advise us of vouchers we were entitled to. Otherwise, a beautiful hotel. The rest of the staff were brilliant. The food was great. Check out next morning was efficient and so friendly.

Food excellent and good value. Desserts were large portions and, no skimping on toffee sauce and roulade was soft and creamy

Excellent Hotel. Polite and friendly staff.
Good restaurant. Convenient parking.
The only suggestion is that the furnishings in the rooms are a bit old and could be modernized. Anyway recommended!

A lovely hotel with friendly, warm and welcoming staff.
Only a short 2 night stay, but a great one nonetheless.
We ate in both restaurants. A light bite buffet for breakfast with the inclusion of hot cooked items off a separate menu, including full Irish breakfast, poached eggs and smoked salmon, french toast, etc. and an a la carte evening menu with daily specials. All good quality and cooked very well.
A great stop between Carlow and Kilkenny if you're planning visiting either of these places. Highly recommend.
