Lough Rea Hotel & Spa in Loughrea legal town

This hotel is a bit off the beaten track but still full of guests. The bar has a very nice photo collections and friendly service.

Stayed here for a weekend to meet up with some friends. While it was a nice hotel n staff lovely i did have a few issues as follows - rooms while well kitted out i felt were quite dark even with all lights on. The bedside lights were a bit hard to get to while lying in the bed, service at breakfast was quite slow n had to remind staff about order n on arrival at breakfast room were given table seperate from where friends were sitting n eventually we moved table to join them n no assistance was given. Location was easy enough to get to but hard get into Galway City due to heavy traffic so if u want go to city be prepared for delays especially getting close to city. Initially thought there was a swim pool but only had a Spa Treatment Centre but to use the Sauna etc there was a charge. Food was good n good Xmas party was provided. Would return in the future but only if not going into the City 👍

Spa, food, staff, decor and cleanliness are amazing but the rooms let it all down. Lighting is very very poor beds are way to soft and pillows have to be the worst iv ever slept on. Overall our experience here was very good. If the rooms got a little tlc this place would get a continuous 5* rating.

Unfortunately, my experience with the support and service provided by NICOLE, the person responsible for overseeing my wedding, was very disappointing. What should have been a special day was compromised by serious failures in service and organization. From the beginning, she showed a lack of attention to the previously agreed-upon details. I expected more professionalism and care, especially for such an important event. I would not recommend booking your wedding if she is in charge of coordinating the event, as the level of service fell well below expectations in regard to her. On the other hand, the waitstaff and the chef did a great job.

Excellent hospitality, clean rooms

Had a one night stay here. Modern, rooms good, service good, food good. One criticism, please train barstaff to pull proper pint of guinness. Filling it to top, handing it out still settling ending up with 2 inch head not way to do it. In it's favour it tasted reasonably ok.

Lovely hotel, rooms were great, the spa was brilliant and food was excellent, definitely worth the 4 hour drive
