This site is well worth a journey. It is situated on the highest hill in the area. Therefore, it is quite a climb to see it, but well worth it.

Fab place. Well worth a visit. Views from the hill top are spectacular and the cairns have a fascinating history. Lovely coffee shop and playground, staff are very nice. Love this place.

Amazing place to be, staff are wey friendly and helpful and all the facilities were clean, tidy and a pleasure to use. The environment and vibe around the place is very chilled and relaxed which was just perfect for what we were wanting, thank you 😊 🙏

The only issue I have is: I didn't know about this fabulous little hideaway years ago. Fabulous for small children. Even in the rain the ambience here is great. Genuine little gem. So peaceful for a retreat. Highly recommend and will be back.

The guides on the hill are fantastic, very knowledgeable tour of the site run by the OPW at no charge. The campsite facilities are very modern, clean and lots of hot water! We had a fantastic few days……highly recommend

Fabulous campsite and yurts. Spotless and very well run. Great facilities and staff. Excellent coffeehouse and wee gift shop. The area itself is so peaceful. Truly a lovely place to ground yourself and unwind. Have been there a couple of times and will be back 😞

We took a caravan. Access up a narrow road of about half mile. Passing places and not busy. Very welcoming owner. Small site. No views. Got showers, washing machine. Good cafe on site. And you can walk to Loughcrew burial mounds. They were staffed when we went and we had a fascinating tour of all the site. Plus great views over countryside.

Woodford Dolmen Hotel

25/10/2025: We had our wedding in the Woodford Dolmen last weekend, and I am forever grateful!! From the reception staff to the housekeepers, everyone was so friendly. A special mention to the manager, Will, who was on duty the day of our wedding. The food and drinks were of a high standard through our entire stay. All of our guests have been raving about their experiences! Thank you ever so much for helping to make our day so special. We will certainly be back.

Driftwood Surf Cafe

20/10/2025: Magnificent location with an incredible view! Excellent cuisine (I loved the chowder, a creamy fish soup; I'll remember it for a long time!). The welcome and service are also perfect!!!
11/10/2025: We happened upon this place while touring around the Ring of Kerry. It was a slow Saturday at the end of their season so there weren't many customers at the time we arrived. We were able to sit by their large windows with an amazing view. We ordered the Seafood Chowder and Crab Bites for our meal with the Apple Crumb for dessert. All the food was excellent and our server was quite friendly. Will definitely try to come back one day.
