The only problem we had as a motor home family was the fact that the parking bays were very uneven. It was extremely difficult to get a level position which is important.

Beautiful location, huge areas for tents, vans, and Jurts, all separated around the reception. Playground, playroom. EHU and water at the graveled van pitches. Showers and use of well equipped kitchen is all included for 30€/n. Very calm through the week end of September. Lovely hosts, relaxed and friendly. Located next to Loughcrew cairns a neolithic cemetery. Nice walk up there.

We stayed in our caravan for the weekend. Site is lovely owners are extremely friendly can't do enough for you. Coffee shop and court yard is great. Not expensive we walked to the cairns the views are spectacular . Highly recommend this site.

Fab place. Well worth a visit. Views from the hill top are spectacular and the cairns have a fascinating history. Lovely coffee shop and playground, staff are very nice.

11/11/2024: A lovely surprise Under stated and such a simple place. It’s not grand , but the welcome is warming. A bar with some simple food. Deep fried Scallops !!, A cold Fish platter , Smoked Salmon ,Poached. Salmon , Crab Meat and a hand full of mussels ,Plus a dip and Wheaten Bread with a Salad Garnish. Refreshing and simple . Bowls of Mussels in a lovely stock. Definitely , different ,and they do accommodation .
09/11/2024: Ici le plus génial c’est l’ambiance . Arrivés à 16h30 dans ce minuscule port quasi désert et entrer dans une salle où des locaux sont attablés devant une Guiness et rigolent en se racontant des histoires sous l’œil bienveillants des jeunes qui servent . On avait une petite faim après notre rando ? Pas de problème on vous sert une superbe assiette de fruits de mer : moules extra , crabe , saumon fumé , crevettes … le tout arrosé une bière . Génial

Sweeney's Strand Bar

03/11/2024: We have been here numerous times over summer months, the best open crab on brown bread with a tasty pomegranate side salad with a creamy glass of Guinness, overlooking Omey Island. Enjoy lunch and a walk afterwards on the beach at low tide.
19/10/2024: People were a bit stiff in the bar. Coffee was really not good.
