If you're not getting your chipper stuff from Macaris after a nice pint in Lee's, I don't know what yer doing. The best chipper run by the best folks. Everyone should use this place as a template going forward.

Nice clean and tidy. Food was very good, nice chips. Service was very good, a tad bit expensive but nice sit down area and plenty of tables.

28/06/2025: Perfect spot to break a long journey. Lovely food / treats and a beautiful small shop to browse and toilet. We had coffees/teas and treats on way to and from centerparcs.
23/06/2025: Homemade soup was delicious. BLT bagel amazing. Very clean Cafe , great service.

13/12/2025: I have being up here all year doing an course & the last weekend , i popped into tbis place tonight, Wow what an great pub that serves home comfort food , What an great pub to have in your town , i had fish & chips & so did 3 other people on my table when tne food came out , i got 2 piece's of battered fish on my plate & loads pf chips , everybody who was at the table were very happy with the amout of food on the plate . We didnt have any dessert but we will return for desserts at another time . The staff were friendly, kind & couldn't do enough
12/12/2025: Carvery offer comprising of over cooked food. 'Pile it high' may appeal to some, but not for me.
