Magnetti in Galway

Went for lunch 4 adults, 3 teenagers and an infant. The place was practically empty at the time. The food was superb but the server who attended to us initially was quite sullen and unfriendly. Any customisation to a dish we requested was met with a very abrupt ‘No’ without any explanation. I don’t think requesting adding chicken to a pasta dish or panini for a 14-year-old is an outrageous request but even if it isn’t possible, she could have been more polite and explained why they couldn’t do it. I wouldn’t go there again or recommend the place as the vibe wasn’t welcoming or particularly friendly to children - all because of one server (she also kept bumping into my friend’s chair as she brought our food and drinks - didn’t come back after that was pointed out). And that’s quite sad because the food was really good. The second lady who attended to us was much nicer and warmer but she just brought us the bill and the overall experience had already been kind of marred.

Pizza was ok. And large. But mine didn’t have cheese?? Which was weird and not tasty.

Lovely spot. The Almond sweet cake was delicious.

Food was very delicious. Servers seemed not into it especially wine service, probably just an off night though.Great local atmosphere. Homemade and amazing pasta dishes.

I went with my family I got the carbonara pizza and my mother got the lamb ragu and or was sooooooooooo good the ragu was 20/10 would recommend

DELICIOUS coffee, food, desserts. Very nice service. Possibility to buy pasta, coffee and olive oil on site. In spring and summer, there are tables in front of the restaurant overlooking the promenade and the sea. There is a bus stop right in front of the restaurant. Easy access to the premises for people with limited mobility. Always clean bathrooms. I highly recommend it! :)

Food was very good. The pizza is VERY large, you look at the price and it’s a bit expensive, until you realize the pizza could easily feed 3. Would recommend to larger groups. Pasta dishes were very fresh, and delicious. The wine list is also good, and it’s right on the water.

Had dinner here tonight and can't complain at all. I've eaten in a lot of Italian/pizza places, and 89.3% of them are fairly similar but Magnettis is unique. Pizza was ace, bruscetta ace, staff really good Could it be refined a bit? Well yes. But to so how would be picky so I'm just going to say, it's a well decent restaurant, and if you're in Galway, go here.
