Marka Cadey Halal Food Dublin in Dublin

I enjoyed a delicious lamb shank dinner at Marka Cadey in early July 2026. I was looking for some non-Irish fare after my first few days in Dublin. I did a Google Maps search of restaurants near my hotel, and this was just around the corner and highly rated. I am an elderly woman and it turned out that I was the only female in the crowded restaurant that evening. I made my way to the back and ordered. The smells were delicious and the atmosphere lively. Every table and booth was filled with young men chatting and eating. I shared a table for two with a gentleman near the door. That was pleasant as it was a very warm day. It was lovely to be in a space where people were clearly at home and there was a sense of community around their tables. The staff were courteous, made the correct assumption and brought me utensils, and I really enjoyed the delicious food.

The food is perfect I had Lamb Shank, soup and a banana for €15 in the centre of Dublin. The crowd are friendly. It's a super way to experience African food without the hassle of airports

Very good. At first we were looking for anything still open (as it was a bit late). But we were surprised. The lamb was tender and juicy and the rice was also flavored and well cooked. Of course it is not a fancy restaurant. It is a small restaurant looking like a cantine but it is simple and "down to earth" Portions are generous. We will come back again for sure.

All I can say is excellent food quality on reasonable prices

Always i order riz with chicken and you get bottle of water free and 1 banana And soup

One of the best places for authentic Somali food! Marka Cadey Restaurant serves delicious rice with meat, full of rich flavour, which I really enjoyed. The prices are great, the portions are generous, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. If you want real Somali food at a good price, this is definitely the place to visit.
