McDonald's in Portlaoise

Have been here before and enjoyed it but last Saturday was very different. The food was grand, but the atmosphere was horrible. I realise that it was extremely busy but every staff member had such a sore face on them. Sorry, one exception, there was a young lady who was helpful . A machine was not taking payments, and you had to go to the counter to pay, but you were left standing there, and the longer you were standing , the longer it took for your order to register. Customers were complaining to each other but said nothing because it wasn't worth the hassle. I said nothing as I don't upset people who prepare my food. It was a really horrible atmosphere and service. I got the impression that no one of the staff wanted to be there. I'm sure there are people who would want a job there and enjoy it. If staff don't want to be there, please don't turn up. We all work jobs that are at times challenging. I will think twice about spending my hard earned money there. The staff obviously don't want the customers there. They made that so clear.

One McDonald's is more or less the same as the next. Food is OK service here was good.

It's maccas, I mean like to be completely honest I just wanted some guilty pleasure food I would regreat soon after. But don't get me wrong, it's class. The chips were fresh, which I loved.

I worked for way over a year at McDonald’s, so this is from experience. It takes less than 2 minutes to make a quarter pounder and with the new(ish) system it less than a minute. You can easily prepare 10 packs of fries every minute or so. We served 500+ free muffins when that promo was on. There was 7 orders before us today. Waited over 10 minutes. That is slow. And it’s always like that! Super super slow.

I only like going into portlaoise McDonald's in the morning time or at 12.00 and 13.00 in the day time because the food is only served hot at those times and the orders are only right at those times and there is no antisocial behaviour going on in it at those times. I hate going into portlaoise McDonald's in the afternoon times anywhere from 5.00 to midnight because the food orders are always wrong and the food and coffee is always cold or luwarm and the lads who are bard from everywhere else in portlaoise are always in McDonald's at them times doing antisocial behaviour and just useing the phone chargers sockets for there phones and are not even ordering anything and a few times they have nearly hit a 4 year old child with there goofing off boxing and everytime there in their they have never been told once even to get out

This place gets very busy on weekends and usually there ate ques for food and seating. Food is good and standard Mcdonald's menu. Better option for having a snack wihile doing shopping.

Still a fast food but good taste. Wasn’t clean .. but I think was more the fault of the customers and not the staff.
