Lovely local pub, very friendly and helpful landlady. They were very tolerant with my young daughter, nothing seemed to phase them! I am not sure if they serve food.

Love this place. Packed with local characters who are friendly- you'd think they knew you all your life! A peat fire a great Guinness and music on Sundays will round off your visit to Achill.

A great meal with a fantastic view of the shore. Wild mushroom rigatoni was terrific. Our waitress gave us detailed advice on places to visit on Achill Island, much appreciated.

Connaughton's Bar

19/05/2026: While looking for dinner (it was already very late that evening), we stopped by the hotel. Even though the kitchen was already closed, they made us two delicious sandwiches. We had some top-notch Guinness to go with them. The bartender was very friendly!
