Was a handy location.fornus for our travels, hotel is nice enough but rooms are a bit dated. Service was poor the night we arrived, It May have been bad timing as next day was much better. Food and swimming pool are nice and family friendly.

Good for value, pool and gym available. The rooms are big and pretty good. The location is good for the city just on the corner from the center. Food was good . The sad part is that u can see that it was a very good hotel when it was built but now you can see that for years nobody did any refurbishing and fixing ,over all is good place but will not go over 3 stars

Beautiful hotel, very pleasant experience. The staff were lovely and helpful. Food is excellent and lovely breakfast. Nice leisure centre.

McDonald's

15/10/2025: Visited Mc Donald on the Dublin Road Cavan last week on a workday. It's grand for a quick bite to eat but the parking is terrible because of the drive thru. Staff were friendly enough. I don't visit Mc Donalds that often but I was surprised at the price of the food. For me it's does represent good value for money. Can't understand why the Irish Government would cut the VAT rate on a fast food restaurant who provides Diabetes on a plate .
08/10/2025: went with a bus full of scouts last minute stop service was tip top will go back again
