I saw someone else claim Mediterraneo as a "hidden gem" of Athenry in their review, and I couldn't agree more. We were only in town for two days, and I'm glad we chose Mediterraneo as one of our stops. Their pasta was SO good. I wish we could've stayed longer because they had so many enticing options to choose from. It wasn't too busy when we dined in, and our waitress was great. She checked in on us often, and we didn't have to wait long for anything. They're also very generous with their portion sizes, especially their ice cream. So don't skip out on dessert if you plan to dine in!

We enjoyed the food very much. Although the place is odd (a little dark, no music, and only two people serving), they were extremely friendly. Our order took approximately 30 to 40 minutes to arrive. We were just talking and having fun, so it wasn't a big deal, but if you come with a large group and are in a hurry, it might be an issue. We were very satisfied with the taste of the food, the amount of food (it was plentiful!) as well as the price-quality-quantity relationship. Definitely coming back!

29/03/2025: Supermacs is great I love it - but the delivery service is really slow in Athenry. I know it's probably busy as hell, but 1.5 hours is too long to wait for an order to arrive. It's annoying because I want to order, I like Supermacs, but we don't wanna go out and grab the food sometimes, but it's literally not worth it unless you order like 2 hours in advance. We won't be ordering online anymore - Will still get collection sometimes because let's be honest - Supermacs is the best
20/01/2025: Phones in an order and they said 20min. I was there in 20min and it was ready waiting to be eaten 😁. Friendly staff. My only issue was it was peak time so trying to get parking

19/05/2025: Had a wonderful dinner tonight and received excellent service from Sam and the staff. Dinner was served promptly, preceded by tasty appetizers, the food was piping hot and absolutely delicious. Sadly they are not opening a restaurant in my home town in Canada. I’ll have to return. 13/05/2025: Mixed bag. Butter chicken is the best! Nan can be great one night, stale the next. Always like the atmosphere here. Go on quiet nights, you'll have a wonderful night out! However, beware the busy nights: they are nearly always under-staffed and you'll wait a long time for takeouts with your food then lukewarm. Floor service suffers too on busy nights. I know some (more knowledgeable) Indian customers have complained about the food but we've always been very happy with the Biryani and the Butter Chicken and we go there about once a month. Btw, the manager could do with handling complaints a bit better.
