I love this place, I make sure to visit every time Im in Donegal with the kids. The food is always top notch, espwcially the fiah and chips, and the staff are lovely.

Best chips around. Great service, great food. There's always something a little different to try like their homemade pink sauce - the kids went home to try to recreate it 😁 Not at all your regular chipper!

Cullen's at the Cottage

23/09/2024: Staying at the Ashford Castle, we were hoping for an amazing dinner at Cullen's, our first night on property. However, we were disappointed. The interior is sparse at best and divided into two dining areas, neither of which are appealing. The menu mimics the space, nothing fun and creative, just typical Irish cuisine. Forget getting fish & chips, chicken or a decent steak here. Best choice for dinner: Head over to Cong at enjoy an amazing meal at Pat Cohen's.
07/09/2024: Food is fantastic, staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Grounds are gorgeous. We had a great day out!

Bakestone

21/11/2024: hello sir/madam/non binary i was in today as my winter tradition with my work colleagues who including myself have worked so hard during the year and we really look forward to our yearly trad ( tradition ) of going into bakestone and ordering my favourite sandwich and while indulging in the craic and banter with my colleagues. until i was met with a real slap of reality ..no chicken sandwich. as much as i love this establishment. i can no longer come home to my wife and say ive been fully satisfied with my chicken sandwich becasue unfortunately and cowardly they REMOVED IT off of the menu. i am beyond sad and vulnerable and i hope to see it in the coming year for our easter trad ( traditional night )
20/11/2024: lovely food and staff, was looking forward to the chicken sandwich only to find out its not available anymore :( bring her back pls!!
