Mickey Finn's in Redcross

Spent the day touring spectacular Wicklow taking in the Autumnal sights. Wanted a pub meal and found great reviews for Mickey Finns so called in. Lovely ambience in the pub and comfortable tables with plenty of space. Staff were very attentive and efficient too but never hurried us at all. A good sized menu with a choice to meet anyone’s needs. 2 starters served being soup of the day and spicy chicken wings. The soup was delicious and served with 2 tiny loaves of gorgeous bread. The chicken wings were stunning. Spicy sauce and tasty blue cheese dressing and so much meat on the pieces too, best chicken wings I’ve ever had. Next was mains, perfectly prepared mussels and skinny fries and so many mussels but all devoured, second main was my steak and chunky chips, wow steak served rare on a bed of spot on mushrooms and amazing chips crunchy outside and fluffy inside. A brilliant meal but, for the first time I can remember we were actually too full for desserts…. We will be back with our family as it was so good and great value too

This place is amazing it has its own tasty brewery, a hooly show, a friendly bartender, and excellent food as well.

I was incredibly surprised at the quality of food here. Expecting standard fair, what arrived to our table was excellent! Very very impressed and I will be back.

Nice food friendly staff ….quaint

Food was very very good but service really let you down. I eat out a lot and having to chase different people down to pay one bill for food and one bill for food is ridiculous. Not to mention having to wait 20 mins + for someone to take your order. Insulting to the chefs hard work really as it really bring down the opinion of the place.

Called in on a busy Sunday evening, they were good enough to fit us in. Both had the battered fish, large chunk of fish, nice chips, couldn't fault the food. Full marks for service, really nice, friendly staff.

Have been several times always great food and great service - 100% will come again and highly recommend to anyone!

Nice bar and restaurant close to river valley camp site. Serves a lot of local beers. Can be busy at times. Food is very good but a little expensive. Staff are friendly and welcoming except for the younger bar man who has a serious attitude problem and not fully clued in on how to serve pints or deal with the public. He might be better suited behind the scenes. The older bar man was sound, friendly and good at his job I guess that's just down to experience he could teach the young lad a thing or two but with his attitude he probably wouldn't listen.
