Mickey Finn's in Redcross

Friendly staff, in both the bar and restaurant. Wonderful choice of food- chose 2 starters, curried mussels and large duck spring roll in sauce, both delicious. Drinks and food served in bar as the restaurant was fully reserved but staff were excellent!

We stopped by here on a whim around lunchtime (just the two of us) and wanted to enjoy a leisurely meal. The customer service and the staff’s attentiveness are definitely commendable and far beyond what we’ve experienced so far (after one year in Ireland). Esster was super accommodating and even moved us to another table when she realized a larger group had sat down right next to us. We had a burger with fries, and “Oh my God”—what can I say… The fries were out of this world—nice and crispy on the outside, nice, soft and juicy on the inside, and perfectly salted—not like the typical Irish fries, which are soft, mushy, and tasteless. The burger… “Damn, was that good”… juicy, flavorful, with a hearty patty that actually tasted like meat, a perfectly balanced combination of sauces to go with it, and the lettuce fresh and crisp… simply a dream—it was by far the best burger I’ve had in the last 12 months. The atmosphere is rustic and cozy, inviting you to linger, and if you happen to get bored, there are countless little signs hanging on the walls with sayings that often make you smile but often hide a deeper meaning. Last but not least, we got a quick tour of their own brewery so we could take a look behind the scenes… simply incredible—every minute of the 1.5-hour drive was worth it, and we didn’t regret a single second… Dear Mickey Finn’s Pub Team… Thank you so much , for this amazing experience, the friendliness, the food, and the great time you gave us…🥰🥰🥰🍻🍻🍻👍👍👍👍 See you again…👍🍻🥳

Food excellent. Service excellent. But a suggestion that adults only who want to eat after 7.00/7.30 should have the option of sitting in a child free area. That's the only reason for giving 4 stars not 5

Since we were there with our dog, we ate outside. There was traditional Irish live music inside, which we could hear well from outside too. The food was fantastic and the local beer was delicious. We'd love to come back.

10/10 experience I have no other words than amazing. Staff are so friendly specially two girls a girl Molly and a younger girl Emily so helpful in every way. Food was absolutely delicious and quick. And the restaurant is so unbelievably clean. Will be going back and would definitely recommend

Great pub with restaurant next door to the camping site. Food was incredible, big very tasty dishes and I can recommend the desert plum crumble. Nice range of choice of freshly brewed beers to complete the set with outstanding service. We will be back!

Came here the 2 nights we stayed in the camping park. Was dead on Thursday, Guinness was ok, nobody there at all, no tvs, so went across the road to the other pub to watch the football. 2nd night came just for food, was packed! server moved us to a quieter spot as where we were sitting had a kids party so they were so loud was nice to be moved. Got the cod and chips, was lovely, had to leave 1/2 of it as good big portion. Service was slow though, took a good while to get food but it was very busy so its understandable. Other than that nice local pub.

Very nice place and really good food. The signs all over the walls will definitely bring a smile or even a belly laugh
