Milano in Galway

It was very good, we ate good pasta and pizza there. The dessert was super good especially the incredible chocolate cheesecake. The waitress was very nice. Thank you so much.

I had a great experience at Milano. The manager, Rebecca was exceptionally kind to our table. She accommodated us with allergies that we had at the table. The kitchen staff, from what I could see was lively and made us so comfortable with our allergies at the table. Thank you so much to the Milano staff. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

Had the Vegan pizza. It was really good!

Had the family pizza deal with 2 sides and dough balls. Pizzas not bad but nothing you’d be wanting to come back to eat again. Staff polite but it took approximately 50 minutes for food

As a family with children we have been Milano regulars for a number of years, like many others, enjoying the food, family friendly service, and knowing that the inevitable noise created by tiny diners isn’t a problem in this setting. Returned this evening with friends as a party of 4 adults and 5 children, on what would be a predictably very busy evening in Galway- bank holiday weekend, midterm break, Macnas parade due to start at 6.30pm- having made a reservation a week earlier. To say that the restaurant was over-run would be putting it mildly. Floor/waiting staff were very pleasant and tried very hard but were spread too thin on the ground and over-stretched by the number of tables/covers being seated at once, which seemed to include a birthday party and a number of large groups like our own. Kitchen was equally under staffed for the volume of orders coming in from tables and swamped by take out orders. Food quality and service suffered as a result- service was slow and haphazard (mains arriving before starters, adults food before kids), dishes arriving missing key components (there was no chicken/no nduja/no breadcrumbs available at 6pm with another 3hrs of service due), and ultimately after 90mins we couldn’t afford the time to wait and see what might happen if we had wanted dessert. I work in a service industry and have waited for many years- the staff on the floor facing unhappy customers were doing their very best but had been set up to fail, and I really felt for them. Their frustration and upset were not shown at the table but were obvious to those that looked when they stepped behind the bar or the pass- the issues evident this evening reflect poor planning and management. You can’t have or do it all and maintain a reasonable standard of service without staffing appropriately to match- in the current climate it may be time to choose. I’m writing this review in the hope that management will recognise the effort put in by their team this evening and address the issues to return the Milano experience to what it can be. Hoping our trip to the Christmas market will finish with a more successful ending in a few weeks time- and maybe even dessert!

The food was amazing! Pizza and dessert sticky toffee pudding you will only come here for that dessert! Very friendly and professional service. Highly recommended.

Marco is the best waiter in Dublin, unreal food

Very friendly service and plenty of space for large groups. Not overly busy for dining on a Friday evening but seemed busy for take aways! Food was delicious and nice wine too. Great kids set menu available too.
