Montmartre in Sligo

Fantastic food, could not fault the chef at all. All round excellent dishes. However, this was overshadowed by the fact that the service was terribly slow. We waited over 30mins for our table. Then another 1.5hrs before our order was finally taken. Clearly something had gone wrong with the staff rota but we should have at least received an explanation and an apology.

Absolutely fabulous! I want to come back and eat all dishes on the menu. Delicious, every element was well cooked and presented, very high quality too and well crafted. I had the Guinea fowl dish and it had the most tasty cabbage, never mind the bird and the roulade.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere

First time here and can’t believe I’ve missed out on the experience all these years. I always assumed it was extortionately priced but the prices were very reasonable - considering what the average restaurant charges these days. Impeccable service, amazing food, seating so comfortable. We had a nice long meal catching up with family and it was worth every cent. Can’t wait to return. Now our favourite restaurant in Sligo.

Overall, it was a lovely dining experience. Blue cheese starter was an unusual combination of tastes and might not be for everyone. I had fish as a main and it was beautiful together with various sides and wine. However the bread offered at the start was very basic for a french setting. Curry bread was cold as if out of the freezer and butter was cold too, couldn't spread it nicely on the bread. There are many bakaeries around Sligo offering quality bread and I suggest this restaurant change the curry bread and the basic slice of the roll to something better quality.

Had an outstanding meal. It had been a while since we ate here but we've already booked to go back again! First class food.
