Monto's restaurant in Kilmessan

The first place (in a loonnngggg time, if ever before) that the person who met us at the door (& even helped clear off the table we got to sit at) - took our order brought us our food, brought us our bill AND took payment for a great Dinner..., 'twould be great if more places would be THIS attentive to their customers..., it just felt more homely/personal. Also, a big Thank You to everyones "Uncle" Monto, the proprietor.

We felt very comfortable there, and the food was very good and plentiful. We highly recommend it.

Very nice place with very nice food. Also the waitress, a skinny and young boy served us, I don't know him name, but was the best.

Friendly staff and delicious food and dessert 🥰

We stopped in at Monto’s after an afternoon touring Trim Castle. We had the calamari and the shrimp starters , which were both delicious. Two of our party had the ribeye special, one with garlic mashed potatoes and the other with sautéed mushrooms and onions. We both choose the garlic butter sauce. The meat was flavorful and well prepared. The steak knives could have been a little sharper, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the meal. We were too full for dessert, but the dessert menu looks like I’ll need to return to try it out!

A very good meal, we had pizza They were very good, but 4 stars for the service because there are no drinks in the restaurant, you have to pick them up at the grocery store across the street! A first for us
