Beautiful place…highly recommend

Absolutely beautiful place! Surprisingly not so many visitors despite long weekend, which I like a lot! You can spend easily the whole day exploring and contemplating various places in the garden. Also there is restaurant, coffee shop and some garden shops. Highly recommended for nature & garden lovers!

We visited Mount Usher in mid-October. The price per person is 10€. We wondered whether we should visit a garden this late in the year. Definitely yes. You get an audio guide in different languages. There is a garden center, a delicatessen, a café and various clothing stores. This on top of that. But the park itself was the highlight. We were very impressed. Top

A fantastic garden, much of it arboretum, with a huge variety of well-tended species.

It's nice to stroll through this beautiful landscaped garden. Here you can find plants from all over the world. The eucalyptus trees here are just as big as in Australia.

After visit to Mount Usher gardens called into my favourite Avoca cafe. Service as always prompt and very friendly. Ordered a burger without the bun. Wow is all I can say. Presented like a fillet steak dinner with fresh salad with the Avoca signature dressing and chips, it was just delicious. The burger was perfectly done and tasted so good. Entirely satisfied and well fed I had no room for desert. The best burger I ever had that’s why I took the time to write this review. You just have to try it 🙋‍♀️💚

A very nice clean restaurant with very helpful staff and a menu to suit all tastes. As a life long vegetarian and now a vegan they were able to cater for my dietary needs. The food was very good quality although a little expensive but you do get what you pay for. I deducted one star because they now fry the chips with fish. In the past the chips were fried separately and I was looking forward to their nice crispy chips yesterday to got with my meal but as they are now friend with fish I couldn't eat them. I do wish restaurants in Ireland would fry their chips separately. However, I had a very nice meal in nice surroundings served by very efficient and polite staff.
