It looks great from the outside. Unfortunately, the garden closes at 4:30 p.m., so we just stood outside.

Absolutely gorgeous place. Can't believe I've never been. The staff in the ticket office were so lovely and helpful. I left my bag behind at an outdoor table and it was handed into the ticket office. They got my car keys and tried to check if my car was in the car park. They were asking everyone if they owned the car. I was looking around the shops and was approached. I was thrilled because losing my handbag and car keys would have been such an anti climax on what was a great day out. I have high praise for the staff. All very friendly. I will be back and won't be leaving my bag behind 😂

Beautiful gardens with a wide range of trees and a river running through it. Great for a stroll or for gardening enthusiasts. In February the snowdrops and crocuses were out but I'm sure it would look spectacular later in spring and summer

Had lunch here for the second time in six months. Food was very good but once again the room was freezing cold. We had to ask for blankets again (this was indoors). Not an enjoyable experience. Do they need to get their heating fixed?

We stopped for a little lunch amidst chilly weather conditions. Wonderful chowder reminded us that it’s very good to be alive! Attentive management lowered the radio tracks to support a quieter ambiance so that everyone could enjoy good conversation, and that gorgeous sensation of watching the rain fall on the green ferns and trees outside. Well done on the warm welcome, delicious food and good service.
