Use to be a great walk but no longer allows dogs
Car parking is a nightmare. Spend more time going in circles waiting for cars to leave to get a space

This is open to the public with no charge. A great place for an afternoon stroll on a hot day with plenty of shade and seating. Dogs are allowed but on a lead. Very nice cafe as well

A beautiful place to visit if you love to explore nature. There is a one hour long walk around the different species of trees, flowers and plants. There is a walk around the river too. It's a good experience.

Fantastic garden, visited in July 2025, also nice shops and for relaxing with coffee &bakery or outside studying and working, The change of trees with colorfull flowerbeds is beautifull, pitty that the storm hit some very old trees, but thats life. But still 88 different trees to see. River was driving a tuck mill and later a corn mill. Parking lane to small? Park next to the road, no problem.

If you have a sweet tooth, these pancakes are an absolute must-try! They were perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of sweetness, and paired beautifully with fresh berries, cream, and syrup. The ambiance of this place is lovely, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed breakfast and a nice chat.
After enjoying the delicious meal, taking a stroll in the nearby garden adds to the experience, making it even more special. The staff is friendly and welcoming, adding to the charm of this magnificent place.
Highly recommend stopping by for a delightful breakfast and a peaceful start to the day!

Met here today for lunch as we often do. Today however wasn't one of the better days. We waited an extremely long time for our food to be delivered, the waitress forgot to bring the chiabatta bread to go with my salad and when we politely reminded her she wasn't best pleased. The bread arrived as we had almost finished eating. We ordered more drinks and waited another hour (we were about to leave when they arrived!) the coffee was cold and the pepper mint tea was stewed and bitter, but we didn't complain, then when we went to pay there was an error in our bill and the guy behind the counter was just rude, barking at my friend that I would have to pay him the extra that he'd just charged her - 33.50e for a soup, chips and 2 coffees!... (He'd undercharged me!) Not exactly what you would expect from Avoca - poor service and rude staff.
