Mountkennedy Inn in Newtownmountkennedy

I was at a tourism conference on 5/12/24 in the Parkview Hotel and two of the guest speakers stayed there. They went into town looking for a place to eat and settled on the Mount Kennedy Inn. These are people who are engaged in conferences around Europe. They were very impressed with Mount Kennedy Inn, the food and staff. Well done to all. Im local and havent eaten there in ages so I'm going to check it out. It was great to hear such comments. One was from Prof Terry Stevens and the other was a Tourism woman from Slovenia Misa Novak. It just goes to show, you dont know whats on your doorstep!!

As soon as you walk in you are welcomed by all the staff and the owner the food is excellent and big portions well priced very nice setting and nice atmosphere

Went in to have a beer or two...5 empty tables all booked couldnt get a seat... restaurant or a pub ? Why not just seat people as they arrive if you are full ok..but full of empty tables everyone looses? Am I missing something ...

Very tasty burgers, if we were in the area again at some point we would stop again.

I usually have average expectations for pubs, but this one blows all competition out of the water! I went in with family and ordered pizza, which was easily on of the, if not the best pizza I have ever had. It was fresh, hot and full of flavour. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for grub, especially pizza! Also would like to add that the owner, Alan has been nothing but pleasant to us everytime we’ve been. Can’t wait to be back!!

Fantastic food reasonably priced, beautiful bar/restaurant inside with friendly staff. Great pint of Guinness, glad we stopped by.
