Great location to sit inside or out and watch the river flow by. Perfect spot to stop before or after a walk along the river. Food is good. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful location to have a cafe right beside the river barrow, situated between Graiguenamanagh and Newross town. We went camping at St Mullin's camping site and the next day we ventured around the area to view some nice historical buildings, churches, graves of kings, rivers and found this lovely cafe which is probably one of the most nicest places to eat lunch, with nice scenery, friendly staff and good service. Definitely will return in the future, well done to owners and staff.

Easy to see how The Mullichain won so many awards. They've got the best lunch , best desserts , best presentation , best everything . Would highly recommend a visit to St. Mullins. You won't be disappointed.

We cycled here from Graiguenamanagh, had apple tart and cream, tea and coffee. Did a little sight seeing and returned for some pizza made with fresh ingredients. All food was absolutely delicious, lovely location and very friendly staff. Such a relaxed atmosphere could have stayed all day. Prices were very reasonable. Will return again. Marie and Gareth

It is always a pleasure to visit the Mullichain Cafe. After a long 7km walk from Graiguenamanagh the welcome and the food here is excellent. We normally have a proper meal here but today just scones and tea. These were proper scones, ones that are a proper bake worthy of a Paul Hollywood handshake. Anyway. It is a place not to be missed.

Lough Eske Castle

04/04/2024: We went on spa at Lough Eske yesterday and had the most amazing time. The grounds and entrance provide a grand yet peaceful location. The facilities were just beautiful for the spa and the staff were lovely. Treatments were delightful and Shea happily drove one of our guests with mobility issues to and from the castle. We then enjoyed lunch in the castle bar, to our delight. A wonderful experience and can't wait to return for a long weekend. Thanks to all at Lough Eske. They've earned every star! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
02/04/2024: Castle is a little hidden gem. Bigger than it looks and all kinds of rooms to plop yourselves in and admire the paintings and chandeliers or read a book. Also the food and drink menu were superb. We ate in the Gallery Lounge in front of the fireplace. Our room was in the stables overlooking the gardens. So cute and unique! A big shout out to the 2 concierges, Shea and Dylan! Both were so inviting and provided the history of castle. Both urged us to go explore Slieve League, the highest maritime cliffs in Ireland. We had a fantastic hike and are now enjoying our pints as a reward!

23/03/2024: Fantastic family run boutique hotel
15/03/2024: The most amazing staff ever, especially Ciara, Trish, Pierce and the two Caroline's! I honestly would love to name all the staff but they were amazing. The beds are so comfy, the breakfast was beautiful and the dinner was perfect. I am so happy that I had the experience to stay here and I recommend it for a weekend away or definitely a wedding!
