I've been going here for years. It has barely changed which is a good thing.

Dropped in on recent trip home. Was looking forward as it has always been my go-to for a good pint. Sad to say that the Guinness was muck. Left after 2 (had to be sure the 1st wasn´t just an outlier), and headed to the International where the pint and atmosphere was great!! Will skip the Mulligans part on next trip.

A proper pub. Not many left but we'll worth a visit. Lively, loud and friendly, efficient service and no pretentiousness.

Mulligan’s was a must-see pub in Dublin which is why I added it to my pub crawl list. It's one of those old traditional Irish pubs that feels like it has not changed in century's, and honestly, that is exactly why I wanted to go. It sits just outside the Temple Bar District, so it is a bit of a walk if that is where you are staying, but it is absolutely worth the extra steps to see the character packed into this place. The pub has that classic worn-in charm that you cannot fake. Old wood, old bar, old stories… you walk in and instantly feel like you just stepped into Dublin history. The popularity is no joke either. We unfortunately were not able to get seats because the place was full. Even just standing inside for a few minutes, you can tell this place is iconic. It has survived by simply being itself and refusing to change, and I love that. You do not come here for trendy cocktails or fancy decor. You come here because it looks, feels and operates like an Irish pub is supposed to. If you want history, character and a pint in a place that has zero interest in reinventing itself, Mulligan’s is a must.

A lovely bar for an afternoon pint. They also served the Big Three stouts, which is very unusual for a Dublin pub.

06/12/2025: Great bar! Walked past it during our first day and thought nothing of it. Happened to look through the window and was surprised how nice it was inside. 8 pints of Guinness later my wife and i got on with our day. Friendly staff. Although we didn’t eat the food looks amazing. We visited again on our last night. Which was a Friday. Great live music on with a fun atmosphere. We tried a few different bars in Dublin and this was by far our favourite. Highly recommended
05/12/2025: Great atmospheric restaurant with lovely all Irish food. Great band The old brigade and super Irish Dancers. (my friend thought the ladies were in particularly very talented.

10/12/2025: Service is really great and the atmosphere is lovely. They have it set up very nicely. Unfortunately the food we didn't find as nice. The wings were decent, burger was average, chips a little soggy and the salad was not very nice at all.
05/12/2025: Wonderful place! Fantastic service! I highly recommend it and will always come back! The spicy wings are amazing!
