Food here is unreal, friendly staff, very homely.

We didn't book ahead of time but we will in future. That said they were very accommodating and took the pressure in their stride.Lovely old style pub serving great food and a great pint. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was second to none. Beside the canal so perfect for a drink on warmer days. I have passed it by for years but now that we are actually living nearby, we will definitely be frequent visitors.

A hidden gem simply cannot be faulted from service to quality of food 10/10

Had Sunday lunch here today with my mother and one of my sons. Friendly service and great food,probably the best chicken wings in the country! Had the pasta with chicken breast,absolutely beautiful! Come here fairly often and will be back.

Beautiful, scenic spot. Food was lovely and such a Sunday afternoon atmosphere...excellent staff from the bar to the servers. Special thanks to Lucy who gave us a few good laughs....5 star!
