Food is amazing, just hope it stays consistent and always good, and I definitely will always come back. Would be good to have delivery or lunch options as well. Papadam given was from yesterday and would prefer the fresh ones. Biryani is good and the meat mutton and beef are tender, definitely kudos to the chef. Servers are definitely new but it's okay, good for learning and hopefully better in the future. Food does take a while, but I assume the food is fresh, which is acceptable. Overall an amazing experience, and would come back again to support this business. Just hope food stays consistent, always good, and will try other food in menu.

I have never been here, so disregard my star rating. It feels odd, though, that Green Chilli can suddenly adopt the Google listing for the previous restaurant on the premises here, Neo. Unless they're the same owners

New Indian restaurant, amazing amazing food! Still needs a little work with atmosphere like some music or decor but the food is incredible. Best Indian food in Galway I've had

We went there last weekend to try them out. I think the place is new. The interior was really good. We were welcomed with soup and a few sides. Loved the ambience inside and staff was friendly. We tried their chicken biryani, fried rice, and beef. The chicken biryani was really flavourful and had South Indian flavours. The fried rice was excellent as well. However, we were disappointed with the beef and it tasted sweet. We will try to come back and see if we can change our review

We had such a flavorful experience at the restaurant! 😋 The meal started off beautifully with a hot, comforting soup served as a welcome drink — a thoughtful touch that set the tone right away. The lamb and beef biriyani were the real highlights: fragrant rice, perfectly spiced, and packed with tender pieces of meat that just melted in the mouth. The porotta was soft, flaky, and the perfect partner to the rich and creamy butter paneer masala, which had just the right balance of spice and sweetness. Every dish felt freshly prepared and full of care. Altogether, it was a hearty, satisfying spread that left us happy and full. Definitely a spot worth revisiting for anyone who loves good, flavorful food! 🍲🍛🥘

Tomodachi

03/11/2025: I've eaten in Tomodachi many times and have always loved it: it's by far the best Japanese in Galway. Unfortunately there's a but. We never felt that it was good value for money, at least in terms of quantity, but it wasn't too blatant. However over the last year it's become worse and worse. On our last and sadly final visit we ordered Edamame, pork gyoza, a rainbow roll and a chicken and prawn yakiudon. The gyoza and roll weren't generous but were fine. As for the other dishes... The edamame consisted of a tiny pile of maybe 15 to 20 bean pods. It would have fit easily in my closed palm. The yakiudon had 6 or 7 thumb-tip sized pieces of chicken (I'm including the fatty bits) and 4, FOUR, prawns. I called this to the attention of the person I guessed to be the senior waiter only to have her respond very politely and overly sympathetically, in what I took to be a genuine attempt to mollify us. She apologised for the disappointment and explained about the increasing costs. We're all aware of the crisis but the quantities mentioned above are just flatly insulting. With 1 Asahi, a hot sake and a yuzu tea it came to €110. 10% service charge included and no attempt to address my complaint. €110 for a small, quick meal for two. Sorry Tomodachi, we won't be back at those prices.
02/11/2025: Absolutely amazing. Food is delicious, and fast to arrive. Pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. The servers are very friendly and attentive. 10/ 10. I will Absolutely be returning

Kappa Ya

01/02/2025: One of a kind. Such delicious food, and such a nice chef. This place will be missed. All the best in your next adventure.
21/12/2024: Myself and one of my friends had the teriyaki chicken don and it tasted so good. The chicken was marinated and the rice mixed with the sauce was heavenly and a great mix of savoury and sweet. The egg was chopped up very finely and had a soft texture and the green beans had a very refreshing flavour and I think it was blanched so it had a very refreshing crunch to it! Some of the juices sunk down to the bottom of the bowl and it was such a sweet and delicious flavour. I would say we waited quite a while but there was only one cook when we went so it made sense. The inside is decorated really well and the atmosphere felt really welcoming. My other friend had the tempura sushi roll and miso soup and she really enjoyed it. Price wise, you are definitely getting more than what you paid for. I've paid more in other restaurants for less amounts of food. I paid €18 for the teriyaki chicken don and I would definitely say I got my money's worth. The wait was like 40 minutes for 3 people and it was quite empty, so if you are on a tight schedule you might not want to go, but I personally don't mind waiting 40 minutes for a meal. 10/10 I would really recommend to go and I'm definitely going again!! 🤤🤤🙏🙏
