Absolutely brilliant experience dealing with Newlands on-line and over the phone. Every single person that we spoke to was really pleasant and helpful, it was excellent service and a special shout out to Melvyn, for sorting out our little mistake! You’re all brilliant though, thank you!

We go there often good selection of food especially a good selection of gluten free cakes the Victoria sponge is really nice friendly helpful staff too

Always love this place. However their wheelchair was nowhere to be found yesterday Saturday (13 06 2026). Johnstown Garden centre have numerous wheelchairs for their customers. I hope Newlands get their wheelchair back soon as its their only one wheelchair and was very very handy. thank you.

01/07/2026: Another superb meal, friendly service and a great buzz. Highly recommended!
20/06/2026: The starter of the soup was hot but not overpowering. It was certainly tasty along with the brown toasted bread. Second The Beef fillet with risotto especially since it’s my first time having result was quite incredible. And finally, the Biscoff cheesecake was the best wasn’t overpowering. It certainly was tasty and my stepmother was right. It felt like a moose layer but it was still very good. I would recommend it to everyone and one day I will come out back again, but it probably be someday. Thank you again for the meal.

Bear Market Coffee - Pembroke St

27/07/2026: We stop in daily for the morning coffee run, and are always greeted by Daniela and Matja, great coffee and even better atmosphere!
22/07/2026: Mitja is such a lovely barista and always knows how to brighten my day. The coffee he makes is consistently excellent, and his friendly and funny personality makes every visit even better. He always goes out of his way to make customers feel welcome, even thanking me in my own language, which is such a thoughtful touch. Whenever I am in the area, stopping by for a coffee and a chat with Mitja is an absolute must. He truly makes the place special!
