Ah, No. 27 — where the wine is exquisite, the staff are immaculately polite, and everyone seems to be quietly auditioning for the next season of The Crown. The décor whispered “old money”, the lighting murmured “you don’t belong here”, but the wine said “stay a little longer”. We were greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service, but there was definitely a faint aroma of... exclusivity. Not snobbery exactly — more like a gentle reminder that your jacket should’ve been tailored and your shoes should’ve cost more than your flight. Still, the wine list was truly fantastic. If you’re looking to sip something elegant while pretending you know what “oaky with a hint of leather” means, this is your spot. Would I return? Yes — but next time I’ll wear cufflinks and Google “how to hold a wine glass correctly”.

Went overseas to Dublin, Ireland and went to this Bar & Lounge that is in my hotel, The Shelbourne. I ordered the Bram Stoker(Robber Pie), it was beef cheek with bacon cut in very small pieces along with peppers and other vegetables and was served with real mashed potatoes. The taste of both dishes was absolutely delicious and I really enjoyed the presentation. I ordered a pecan pie with ice cream along with the Americana coffee. The pie was cooked when ordered and it was hot and the ice cream was solid and did not melt right away. The vanilla ice cream had a hint of salt which was complementary to the semi sweet pecan pie. The coffee was so good, I almost was going to order another but I did not need the caffeine. Great little place to go to in the hotel.

We always have to stop by at the Bar at The Shelbourne on every visit to Dublin without fail. We love to sit at the bar and enjoy their superb Guinness. This time we ate and the food was lovely! Lovely location, lovely atmosphere and reasonably priced for a 'posh hotel'!

Crabby Jo's

19/05/2025: The food was lovely here. The service was ok, staff were friendly. It was a busy time when we went, but management should have taken into consideration that it was really sunny, so it would be busy. I don't think that's an excuse for ok service. We both had Prawn Pil Pil and I had a 10oz burger for my main and my fiancée had Seafood Linguine for her main. We both thought our mains were nice. The Prawn Pil Pil was gorgeous! I would highly recommend it!
19/05/2025: A highly recommended place for a healthy, light, and delicious meal. Lucas served us very kindly and in Spanish. If you're visiting the Howth Peninsula, don't miss it even if you're looking for it. Go straight there.
