Ocean Sands Hotel - Enniscrone, Co. Sligo, Ireland in Inniscrone

We only used the Spa and the restaurant, the spa experience was perfect. The people were warm and we had a package deal which was excellent. When we were seated in the restaurant after the manager took our order, we waited for 30 minutes, but received nothing on enquiring the manager told us that our ticket docket had gone missing and no food was ordered or placed, even though we ordered just food. This was very annoying as we had to go for the spa experience and we were quite hungry. He then offered us a complimentary meal, which was good. The food was okay and portions were extremely small. Maybe they did not have enough staff, due to New Year’s Eve but we were kept waiting for a long time for food and the service was not good at all.

One of the best hotels i have ever stayed at .we spent 2 nights in one of there self catering appartments that hold 6 people we also had 2 dogs with us . i cant recomend this hotel enought we had an amazing new years eve at the hotel. the dogs were the reson we booked this hotel and it did not dissapoint this dog friendly hotel is a defenit must for people looking to enjoy a few days away with nice walks on the beach and great food....we had an mazing faimly meal in the large lobby area with the dogs by are side (dogs are welcome to dine with you in lobby area) ..the food was fantastic as were all the staff and the athmospher the hotel celebrated new year and included everyone. we were given fun accsesries to ring in the new year and also champhaine free of charge this was a nice touch.this place was that goid that we are booking again for next new years .

Wonderful experience in stormy weather with lovely food

We stayed here early November 2025. I have completed the survey provided by the hotel, however I have yet to receive a reply. We have stayed several times and have noted a severe decline in service. The fire alarm went off at 3am and again at 8am, this happened on our previous stay and we were given a dinner voucher by way of apology for the inconvenience ( someone was smoking in their room). This time, there was no apology in fact the front of house was rude, did not apologise and said it was a " safety precaution" . It amazes me how a fire alarm can go off on 2 visits, it has to be a regular occurance. I have never stayed in a hotel were the fire alarm went off, let alone 3 times. The service for breakfast is poor, chairs are dirty and the wall behind the breakfast station also needs cleaning. There is an off taste of the water, tea and coffee did not taste good at all. I wont be back, there are lovely hotels nearby, we went to the Ice House in Ballina for night 2, amazing. Sad to see this once great hotel disimprove to this degree.

First and foremost I wanted to congratulate Jennifer and her team on how the hotel was looking... It was so beautifully decorated for the festive season. I attended the gala ball for the ABI and it was just fantastic from start to finish. The food was out of this world, compliments to the chef and his team. The wait staff were amazing 👏 👏. Its been a long time since I've been so impressed by a hotel and I will be recommending the ocean sands to everyone. I hope to return again soon. I'm visually impaired and delighted to know your hotel is dog friendly also. I brought her with me to stay during the summer and were extremely happy with everything., thank you so much for making it such a magnificent experience for me and I hope to see you all again soon.
