O'Connells in Dublin

I've been here twice with my class. I liked it. The first time I paid €16 for a burger. The second time, the school paid for it. I can't say I chose anything. I was brought in and had a decent meal. It was okay. I'd have liked a pint, but the teachers wouldn't let me.

The best fish and chips in Dublin! We've eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. The staff and the owner are very friendly and welcoming.

We entered for the great location opposite temple bar district, and the great sun light. And a friend ordered for under 15 Euro Spare Ribs, the best since decades. Excellent, couldn't be done better in an upscale restaurant. Nice people, great authentic atmosphere, and perfect location.

I would highly recommend this pub. It has a local vibe and every meal I had was amazing. It won my heart and I will be back.

Ive been contemplating on leaving this review but i think i need to. Ive always loved going to this bar on the occasions i have friends over visiting Ireland as it was one of the places I would always bring them to. Last week i brought my American friends here for lunch and i was expecting the same service and food i would always get when i visited Dublin. But i was so wrong and i was embarrassed that i brought them in. We arrived and it was quiet apart from 2 drunk guys at the bar and some sitting near the bar. we sat in the archway up top as i like to sit up there as it has the tvs but not to loud that your screaming at one another. we sat down and looked the the menu and waited and waited 10 mins and the guy finally asked us what we would like to drink. then we waited again for our drinks again about 10 to 12 ish mins. i was starting to get annoyed as it wasn't busy and id understand if it was busy the there would be a long wait time. Then he took our food order, we all just wanted the potatoes skins and one wanted desert. 25 mins we waited for starters then the bell rang i could see the food on the serving window but no waiter and im slowly getting more and more annoyed bell goes a second time. so i said you know what before this goes cold ill go get it. So i did i went up to the window and took our orders to the table all the while the chef shouting at me we have staff for that and i said i know you do but where is he and im not waiting any longer for it to go cold. she then shouts down stairs to the guy who i could see on his phone. and while we where eating not once did he come near us and ask how we are do we want more drinks nothing. I was so annoyed and embarrassed that i chose this place and i brought friends and this was the service and memories they will take away from it. I don't think now id be going back which is such a shame as ive always brought friends here for the great service food and atmosphere. And again it wasnt busy that day.

No Dublin trip is complete without a visit to O'Connell's. Always worth the trip. Delicious food, very friendly service, and a top-notch atmosphere. P.S. The Irish stew is especially tasty. 😀

When I arrived, I was expecting a simple little pub. But when I went inside... wow! Magnificent. The service was excellent. The food was great. Go there.

Brian was our waiter and he was absolutely amazing! The service, the food, the atmosphere was all absolutely lovely and we would love to come back. We had a wonderful time, definitely recommend to families and singles alike!

This is an excellent pub. The food was delicious and fresh and the staff was lovely. Brian really made sure we had the best experience. Fit for families wanting a meal or just adults stopping by for a drink. Prices were also great and reasonable. Would definitely keep coming back.
