Octopussy's Seafood Tapas in Dublin

An absolute highlight in Howth! The food was excellent – ​​fresh, perfectly prepared, and bursting with flavor. The quality of the ingredients was particularly impressive. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the visit a truly wonderful experience. Anyone visiting Howth should definitely eat here. I will certainly be back!

Excellent tapas bar with the freshest seafood. We waited for a table and well worth the wait! Oysters were so delicious! Calamari, shrimp and mussels all seasoned perfectly. We balanced it out with the Greek salad. The calamari with chorizo was our favourite, will be thinking about that dish for years to come. One of our tastiest meals in Ireland. Service was outstanding even when so busy!

The waiting line gives the feeling of this being the right choice, and the waiting builds the expectation that one will eat better than well. This debut was not exceptional, but it satisfied the desire for seafood. The shrimp was a little past its point, yet everything carried a fresh scent of the sea — of the already present on the beautiful place that is Howth. I'll surely get back.

The restaurant is small. But since I arrived early, I got a table. I chose the fish and chips and it was delicious! I recommend it!

Very very good restaurant! The service was super friendly, the food arrived fast and it was very delicious! Big recommendation if you are here for the cliff walk.

Everything is very tasty and very filling.

We felt incredibly sorry for the staff, they clearly needed more help and were very stressed. During our lunch, the lady at the entrance must have told atleast 20 different guests who were looking for tables to cross the road and queue on the other side. Perhaps a sign at the door directing people would help as it is quite confusing as a customer, it’s a very chaotic system. Overall the food was fine, oysters fresh and delicious, we had the mussels which were fresh but very lack lustre, they were sitting in pure cream with no shallots or parsley for seasoning. These are basic dishes and could be executed so much better. Strangely they also don’t sell any beer, only wine. Might be the first restaurant I’ve ever been to where this is the case? The pop radio music blaring loud in the restaurant adds another level of stress to the experience. The staff were nice enough but highly stressed creating a very tense environment and you feared sort of asking them anything. The prices are quite reasonable compared to other options in the area which made it more palatable but I wouldn’t be raving about our experience and probably wouldn’t return.
