O'Donoghues in Dublin

Good Irish stew!! Delicious.. upstairs there are tables where you can sit more quietly. Still cozy

Nice place in a good location. The host was very friendly. I liked that they had breakfast available later in the day. I tried beans on toast for the first time (I guess I can understand the appeal). Their prices were good too.

Nice looking traditional Irish pub great for drinks and live music. The stew was luke warm at best and could of given us more bread for dipping.

We visited when the weather was still beautiful we drank in their beer garden on Suffolk street there was no seats left and a very nice member of staff allowed us to take two stools from the bar out to the front very nice helpful young man

I am an American who has lived in Dublin for 7 years, and has drank and eaten at this pub more than 30 times, and at many other pubs across Dublin, so this review comes with perspective. The service is consistently excellent, the food is top for an Irish pub, and the atmosphere is mostly very good. To elaborate on the second and third points ... I mostly order the chicken wings when I come here, because they are supreme and unique in Ireland and on par with top chicken wings in the US. However, I have tried several other dishes, and yeah, these would on the 4 ti 5 compared to most pubs in Dublin, unless one seeks a "gastropub experience" with double prices, and which O'Donaghues is better than many of these anyway. Atmosphere is true Irish, but depending on time day, affected the by the sheer volume of mostly American tourists. There is an upstairs and downstairs, which allows for different level of noise and patrons.

We stopped here for a beer and stayed for dinner. Excellent stew and delicious burger. The place is cozy, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Live music. The staff is really friendly and helpful.

Nice atmosphere, a pub with two floors, quite spacious, you can easily find a seat, even with a group of six. The music is a bit loud, but you can still hear each other. The service is quick, and the staff are very helpful and multilingual. However, the food isn't good. The fish and chips is best avoided, as the fish wasn't properly scaled before being battered, and it's far too greasy. The chicken wings are swimming in barbecue sauce and are sickeningly sweet. The mozzarella sticks and fries are good.
