Everything was fine although when we went to a 30th wedding Anniversary last Saturday evening we sat down to our evening tea at the hotel I ordered fish& chips which were I feel reheated the batter was hard& burned& fish was rubbery& the chips weren't fresh either on payment we weren't charged for my tea but I was left hungry
Had my daughter, s 18th on Saturday there and shauna (waitress) and the other staff went above an beyond to make us feel welcome an enjoy our night.. We had a really wonderful time there. The food was tasty, filling and well worth the money. Even the managers had a few laughs with us.. Was really well put together and we had the best night.. Lots of space and friendly xxx well done.. Well recommended. Can't wait to go back
I’ve stayed at the Darnley Lodge a number of times over the last few years. It’s a super hotel with the warmest of welcomes. The 111 bus from Dublin stops right outside so travelling from the City is easy.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and always have a smile.
My room was comfortable, clean and warm and had everything that I needed. The breakfast set me up for the day and I was spoilt for choice with the evening meals menu.
The bar area is inviting and the selection of drinks vast. The Guinness is a must try as well as the Irish Coffee.

Room was front facing street very noisy at the top of the house a lot of stairs to climb, nice hotel nice food I would stay again but not in the room I was given, what made my stay was the staff I've stayed in a lot of hotels and the staff is what makes this hotel a pleasant place to stay
The food is always great in the Darnley, with a grest menu with something for everyone, its consistently good, I have never had a bad meal here. Nicely priced. Great friendly staff always have a smile for their customers, and the atmosphere is always good. Highly recommended.
Went for Sunday carvery and the chef wasn't shy with the portion size
