The best restaurants in Athboy

09/08/2026: We stopped here for lunch after visiting the sunflower farm and were pleasantly surprised by the fantastic food. We ordered the piri piri chicken and steak and both were delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming too!

09/08/2026: Lovely food especially the pasta. Staff are very friendly and efficient. A nice venue and good location. I would highly recommend this place.

22/08/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mars Pizza is the kind of place you discover once and keep coming back to. 🍕✨ The food speaks for itself fresh, full of flavour and made with real attention to quality. Everything feels worth the money, but what truly stands out is the welcoming service and the way customers are treated🙂 It’s refreshing to find a takeaway that gets both taste and hospitality right. A well-deserved five stars and definitely a hidden gem in Athboy. ❤️

30/05/2026: This hotel boasts wonderful hospitality from its staff. While it's about an hour and a half bus ride from Dublin, it's highly recommended for those who enjoy the slight inconveniences of a small Irish town away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel is in an older building, but it was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff, in particular, were all fantastic. Perhaps because we were a group of five Japanese, every staff member we encountered was attentive, asking if we were enjoying our stay, where we'd gone, and so on. They even informed us in advance that the hotel lacked an elevator, demonstrating their thoughtful consideration. The restaurant food was delicious, and breakfast was excellent. It's located on a busy street, so it can get noisy at night, but a taxi from Dublin costs around €100. This hotel offers a truly authentic Irish hospitality experience.

30/06/2026: I stopped by this lovely little cafe this morning. I was merely passing through Athboy. What a gem of a place. Lovely warm and friendly atmosphere. I was greeted with a smile by the man working even though he was very busy. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and will definitely pop in again the next time I’m in town. A very special thanks for your kindness. May it come back on you tenfold. 30/6/26 A year later, I find myself back in Athboy for an appt. This time I had my little girl with me. We were starving so headed straight to Tiffanys. It certainly didn’t disappoint. The same warm atmosphere and great food. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The same lovely man working away with a warm and welcoming demeanor. Until my next visit. Thank you so much!
