Old Lodge Gastro Pub, menu in Shannon legal town

Great local place in Shannon with a lot of locals on the weekend. It is part of the hotel, and conveniently located near Shannon airport. Great spot for those with an early flight.

Burger was tough, chewy and overpriced

Lovely food and lovely staff although the power went off while I was having my pasta which isn’t ideal but sure what can you do

På en arbetsresa till Shannon bodde vi på Shannon Springs Hotel och besökte den lokala puben. Jag åt en Pork som jag förväntade skulle bestå av pork shops men var bara fyra torra skivor av fläskkött. Min kollega tog en Irish tapas som dock var var bra och riklig. Personalen var trevlig och uppmärksam.

Very nice food and good service

Our favourite eaterie to head for whenever we have an overnight stay before an early flight from Shannon.

This was close to the place we were staying. A friendly restaurant with a nice beer selection and the food was very good and service was excellent.

Old Lodge Gastric Pub is a simple looking pub with a deception gastric element that is... very good. The simply "Duck" starter on the menu is not only pretty in its presentation but very tasty and light. Duck on a bed of greens layered with firm pliable lentils and a creamy curry sauce, not over much, not over powering and the portion size was satisfying. ***** Chicken wings lightly battered, tossed in a tangy spicy, not to hot bbq sauce with a house made aoli garlic sauce. Just yummy. The mains came and the fish and chips, gluten-free batter was light buttery and a perfect match to the haddock. The dill sauce wS light had some vinegar, and lemon was the perfect company I on to the fish. I was a little confused by the other sauce, having tried it. The tapas plate was sausages, chicken spicy wings, and fresh with dill and aoli sauce. All excellent. This is a gem in Shannon. The service was excellent, and all servers were polite and attentive. Very helpful with the menu as I am gluten free all allergens were listed next to the dishes. The atmosphere is relaxed with 80s- 90s music playing. The decore is modern and goes well, not overpowering. Children are welcome here as well. All excellent. This is a gem in Shannon. I am visiting and will return on my next visit.

Top class food and service from staff. Will definately return if ever near by again!

A great feeling in the Old Lodge with very attentive and friendly staff as well as excellent small and large dishes. A Guinness goes perfectly with the wonderful noodles refined with prawns... both extremely tasty. We'd love to come back.
