Utterly stunning Sunday roast at the old spot, and we could definitely see why it is Michelin recommended. What makes the food even better is the quality of service/ staff. Very knowledgeable and attentive to dietary requirements.
Without doubt the best meal we had in Dublin.

A lovely gastro pub - food was fantastic, simple, fresh. We got the burger with fries, and the gnocchi with squash and goat cheese. The gnocchi may have been some of the best I’ve ever had, obviously made that day in house. Sticky toffee pudding was wonderful, but not a huge fan of the banana ice cream.

We’d heard this was the best spot in town for a Sunday Roast and were not let down. Every single element on the plate was delicious. It’s rare to be excited by a carrot or a bean, but this was certainly the case. The entrees were also fabulous (the truffle mac n’ cheese is a must try), the wine was beautiful and the cocktails were fantastic.
But the service was the big stand out for us. As a family of 14 visiting from Australia, we were very pleased to be fit in on short notice and to be so attended to. Our waitress Maria and our waiters Adrian and Steven were all over everything. Plus, they were just a great vibe. We loved everything so much we returned 2 nights later and loved everything all over again. We also bought 3 of their beautiful cookbooks to try and recreate some of the Old Spot magic at home. Thanks to the whole team for such a memorable experience.

In een woord briljant!
Wat een sfeer en entourage. Geweldig attent en vriendelijk personeel. Een mooie kaart met keuze voor iedere smaak. Kleine gerechtjes met extra’s ’on the side’ naar wens.

We left our AirBnB walking to Paulie’s Pizza, but they didn’t open until 2. Went to a Tesco, where a nice lady recommended the Old Spot. Great recommendation. The “Taylor Swift Vibe” was alive and our server (a young man from Mexico) was still euphoric from seeing Taylor’s performance the night before. He was
Very attentive to us. The restaurant started filling up fast with Concert attendees. We all got the Fish and Chips which was perfect. Perfect portion also. I liked the idea that the hostess asked for “a return on the table by 3 p.m.” 1 hour 30 minutes is an ample time for you to eat lunch plus I feel like it insured we would receive our food in a timely manner, and we did. What a great lunch!
