Great location as just a very short walk from train station and bus. Pizza was really great. Food service and staff excellent. Child friendly also. Would be well worth a visit all year round as the view is amazing.

Definitely will go back. This is a lovely setting for a restaurant in a hotel which has been on this spot for many years.Comfortable and nice bar ,the restaurant is open,noisy but the food is excellent and tasteful.I will go back.

An excellent atmosphere, welcoming, happy, helpful staff. Delicious food, beautifully presented. It was a pleasure to be there looking out over the bay on a beautiful evening in wonderful company. Definitely be back. Thank you Oliveto.

Wood Fire Cafe

03/02/2025: This is an absolute gem of a place, just off Dorset Street. The pastas and pizzas are top-notch and generous. The staff are attentive and so friendly too. The atmosphere is buzzy and cool - you feel like you're in a little Italian restaurant in the East Village of Manhattan. It's a brilliant place, and great for a gathering of 6 or so friends too. This is the kind of place that needs everyone's support. Friendly, atmospheric and they've a real passion for what they do.
31/01/2025: Absolutely delicious penne with excellent attentive service. Wood Fire is a gorgeous cafe - a hidden treasure near Dorset Street. A very short walk from the Mater.
