Orwell Road Restaurant in Dublin

We visited Orwell Road for my boyfriend’s birthday and had an incredible experience from start to finish. We shared the sourdough to begin, and it may genuinely be the best sourdough I’ve ever had! My boyfriend had the scallops, while I chose the heirloom tomato salad. I’m usually hesitant about ordering a tomato-based salad, but I couldn’t believe how much flavour was packed into it. For our mains, I had the walnut ragù and my boyfriend had the pork belly, along with sides of potatoes and broccoli. We usually finish everything we order, but the portions were so generous that we simply couldn’t. Every dish was fantastic, and we couldn’t fault the food. We also really enjoyed the blood orange margaritas and espresso martini. I posted the margarita on Instagram and had so many people asking where it was from! Our waiter and bartender, Luke, was a real credit to the restaurant. He was extremely attentive, friendly and kind throughout our visit. We had asked for the bill as we needed to rush to Croke Park, but he still made time to bring out a small dessert with a candle for my boyfriend’s birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch. Thank you again for a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!

A truly wonderful evening with a fantastic and entertaining host. We would highly recommend booking a table. Our visit was a while ago, and several guests had cancelled due to illness, so we had the restaurant almost entirely to ourselves. The food was superb, the cocktails divine, and the service outstanding. It was hard not to try them all! :) We would love to come back again; it was a perfect end to a wonderful holiday in Ireland.

Amazing food with friendly professional staff

Just had a lovely mid week meal here. Was highly recommended and didn't disappoint. Our server Luke was professional and helpful and never overbearing. Food was exceptional. Beef cheek in particular. We'll be back

Absolutely worth it! I had a solo date and ordered the neighborhood menu. The food was absolutely an experience! I ordered the cod croquettes, pork chop, and Guinness cake. I want to write paragraphs about how good they are, esp. the cake. I still have dreams about it 😭 Tho I have to note, the pork chop was a bit bitter for my taste. I don't think it was burnt, but basting or marinating ingredients perhaps (?) The mocktail was so good OMG. Truly deserving of the Michelin Guide title! Everyone was super nice too. I will definitely come back for the beef cheek❤️

Small restaurant in Rathgar village . Wanting to try it out for awhile and I am so glad I did . Food was stunning . From start to finish perfect . I live just down the road and so happy I can enjoy here often . Dublin is a great city for food but this is special . Not pretentious but top end food . Thanks for making it special

It was a really cute restaurant in South Dublin. Great decor friendly staff and good food. I particularly love oyster, so fresh and tasty. We also have some sourdough and chicken croquettes. It was lovely as well. For main I have ordered braised beef ragu, tasty and good portion but i personally think it was slightly too salty. Need to mention there Dijonnaise was amazing..so rich of taste. I was driving so can only have a small glass of red wine while my friend order cocktail. Staff was really friendly as well so i would definitely be back.

Lastnight we had just the best dining experience, Luke, Barbara and the team at Orwell Road were pleasant, humorous and extremely professional. And all of the food, especially the cote de beouf was delicious and amazing, well done Chef! After a hard busy week, it was perfectly refreshing and a really nice treat. 😀
