OSAKA japanese & Korean BBQ Restaurant in Galway

Great food with the possibility of preparing food on the grill yourself in two variations. One of the ways is a hot plate/grill, and the other is as many as 3 types of broth in which we cook the prepared delicacies. It is a place that I visit quite often with my family.

I live locally and come to osaka regularly for food . I always try something new on the menu and it's always amazing . Staff are so lovely too.. very good prices

Quick preparation of food, good service. Nice rolls. Space aren't big.

I always ordered take away from Osaka and it was always perfect, really good food and ready on time. I decided to go in today with a friend that never been there and heard good things about the place. We arrived at 9pm, we've been told to sit anywhere and we did. When the girl came to take our order (and after she rushed us into it), she told us to go to another table as that one was "for grill" and it was too late for that (please note: we asked beforehand if that table was okay) We changed table without any complaints, got our food pretty quickly and: 1) it wasn't as nice as always 2) the same girl that was kinda rude, came a few times to take our empty plates and pointed to the plates far from her while we were eating pretending that we passed them on to her 3) At 9.35 pm, as the other customers left and we were still half way our food, she completely stopped the music and all we could hear was her screaming at her colleagues. They weren't even closed for service yet. 4) At 10.01 pm we hear screaming from the till "are you finished?", we ignore the question as we couldn't believe she was asking us.. as she shouted again "girls, are you finished eating?". We of course didn't scream back as she walks towards our table with a bill on her hands and half way to the table she says "are you finished eating? We are closed. Are you paying cash or card?". We still had half bottle of wine on table and food on the plates. As that was unbelievably awful, we asked for a take away box and put the bottle in our bag and left. As two persons that previously worked as waitress I would have never thought of leaving a review like this one and could have never thought of having such a bad service. I might still order take away from the place as food is not too bad, but service is horrific.

Went here initially for the barbecue. It was fine—not really my thing. It felt like it lacked flavor, though they did provide a few seasonings to use as we liked, which I made a shambles of. If I remember correctly it was only meat served for the barbeque. Hesitantly, I returned to try the hot pot and opted for the mildest spice level. It was amazing! The variety of ingredients was impressive, and the soup itself was full of flavor there was a mix of lamb, beef, prawn, fish dumplings, enoki mushroom, pak choi and two types of noodles. I’d definitely come back for the hot pot. Portion-wise, there’s enough food to easily satisfy three people, but it should be manageable for two with a good appetite. The staff were lovely and the place was cozy.

My family and I recently dined at Osaka Restaurant in Salthill, Galway, and had an exceptional experience. The meal was excellent, and the service was outstanding. We enjoyed a balcony seat overlooking the main street, which added to the charm of our visit. It was a warm 20-degree day, and the waitresses and manageress were incredibly accommodating, ensuring our every need was met. We had a wonderful time and want to extend a heartfelt thank you from the four of us. Massive thanks to Kelly and crew. 李

I really liked the hotpot and the soup pot with peanut sauce was awesome

It was so good I highly recommend the Korean barbecue with beef, chicken and pork. Beef and chicken tastes the best and pork is great to peck at since they give you so much. The service is fantastic we were served by Kelly and vingying and they were Fantastic. Thank you for a brilliant night out.

Excellent sushi. We ordered a range of different platters and everything was delicious.
