Oscars in Mullingar

We ate here on a Wednesday in June around 5:30 PM; it was still quiet then. We drove to this restaurant because the menu offers dishes different from the standard Irish menu of burgers, fries, and steak. We stuck to just a main course this time; after eating out for 18 days in a row, you don't really feel the need for multiple courses anymore. The place looks small from the street, but it is actually very spacious. It extends 35 meters to the back. The open kitchen is located in the final section. The food was exquisite; my wife had the tortellini and I had the seafood linguini. Well-seasoned and generously filled. Great value for money. Friendly owner of a business that has been around for over 30 years.
